trying to chase a hookup

ok so theres this girl (we are both college students) that i hooked up with twice... and didnt hook up when she got a bf. but once they broke up she called me over and we had sex once. That was before the summer.. We were not in the same area so we texted each other a couple of times, met up once.. but when we got back to college. i just couldnt get her to follow any of my requests. like i asked her once 4 times, shes alwaays busy (but she is) but she never reschedules. we were about to room together for a quick weekend getaway this week (so i was like hell yes!) , but she found someone else to room with (some girl) and she immediately changed her plans. But she keeps texting (maybe for emotional validation) so...

a) is this recoverable?
b) is this worth recovering?

Find other girls to hold your interest... don't give the original girl too much attention. She probably thinks she can have you whenever she wants and thus you are a defined and boring quantity now. Get some ass somewhere else and be more aloof with the original girl, she might be curious as to what is going on and try to lure you back in. Except if she does try to make her work for it a little more, i.e., don't reinforce the idea that you are her lap-dog. A lot of times girls with low self-esteem will keep dudes on the side so they can feel wanted whenever they are feeling bad about themselves. This includes pretty girls who have a lot going for them. They will only sleep with those kind of guys if their emotions are in dire straits... show more value by being aloof and acting like you have other shit going on. Ideally it would help if you actually have other shit going on (like other women you are working on).

an update...

So I have been kinda ignoring this girl for a bit, and trying out leads on other girls
and on Friday night, I was at a bar hitting it off with some other Girl B and guess who walks in through the door: yep, the old hookup! (when it rains.. it pours). Thing is Girl B and I have set up this bar meet up for a week now so I aint ditchin her.

So the old hookup (lets call her girl A) and I chat for a bit. She initiates conversations and kinda keeps looking at me and girl B. i get drinks for everywhere as per normal and after like 15 minutes I leave the bar with Girl B to bring her home its like almost 2am at this point (to prevent further awkwardness or risks from happening) and I seal the deal at home.

Now, on Saturday, i go out drinking again and stupidly texts girl A with the most stupid text ever. 'Sup' at 2:20am. terrible terrible decision. Of course I see the read receipt that she did read it right away but never texts back. So I completely screwed the pooch on this one huh?
