Tv Shows / Movies to enhance seduction skills?

Hello community,

If you read articles here and there like me, occasionally you'll find videos from youtube that writers of GC include in their article. These youtube videos are usually snippets from a movie or a show.

Whicb brings up the question :

Are there any good movies / TV Shows that this community would recommend that is worth watching ?

Perhaps good pickup scenes, or consistency of attraction in a character? I thought it would be entertaining to watch, and maybe even see some good lines.

Here's a favorite of mine to share:
Temptation : Confessions of a marriage Councillor. Trailer : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDfTwu2CgDY

Reason why: It's a synopsis of a person trying to seduce a girl who is already married. Now I'm not liking the movie because he's trying to be a homewrecker. I like this movie because of the way the seducer shows consistency of attractive traits. Obviously many of us ( hopefully) aren't using these PUA knowledge to break people's relationships

I tend to watch exclusively comedies, it is by far my favorite genre. As such, most the actors are not very sexy. But, one exception might be Barney Stinson of How I Met Your Mother. His actual pickup techniques would never work in real life. But his general vibe/energy/life of the party/devil-may-care attitude is very attractive. I feel like in the real world, if he dropped the unrealistic and weird pickup routines and just acted natural, he would be a very attractive man. Also, both Ted Mosby and Barney get shot down super often in that show. And they pretty much always just brush it off without breaking a sweat (sometimes, they literally don't acknowledge that it even happened!). I'm no Psychologist, so I can't say for sure, but this might actually help internalize the idea that rejection isn't a big deal. Note: IF you do choose to watch HIMYM, do NOT emulate the personalities of Ted or Jason Segal. Neither of them have very attractive characters.

Other than that, its not so much the movie/tv that matters. Its more about the actors. For example, any James bond film is good. Because all the actors who play James Bond are sexy. I also like Ironman. Because again, Robert Downey Jr. is generally considered a pretty attractive man. Also, Tony Stark as a character is super attractive as well. Although Tony Stark's "style" of seduction might be a little different than that which GC advocates.

Basically, I would go about picking movies/shows by the actor. If you know he is considered to be an attractive actor(for reasons beyond the preselection/social prooof/wealth that fame provides), feel free to pick any movie with him in it and watch it. He'll probably do a good job of at the very least, demonstrating the kind of facial expressions you should be using.

Totally agree with bboy.
Barney Stinson is probably the reason I'm writing this comment right now.

Watch Two and a half men. (till charlie sheen)
emulating charlie sheen and barney stinson's (nph) devil may care attitude has helped me a lot.
They also almost never put any woman on the pedestal. And NPH also tells a story about how his results sky-rocketed after adjusting/improving his fundamentals.

Eyes wide shut. A movie that affected me deeply. Pay attention to the details and notice how people at the christmas party in the beginning of the movie is just the façade of what the social world seess, of whay really happens in the secret OTO rituals later on.

Eyes Wide Shut is great. Also a big influence on me.

a second film I mentioned before in the chats is Boogie Nights. That is also a very magical movie to me, though it’s very long and there are other themes present in it beyond sex. Seeing dirk digglers bizarre journey reminds me of my own in pickup lol

In my opinion, I dont know if these two films necessarily have a pua-ish main cast worth mimicking ... more like these films are just really good and really relevant to the subject matter of getting ass and really inspire you to go out and pull

Shampoo starring warren Beatty (his character is my namesake). The actor is one of the most notorious lotharios in Hollywood and has reportedly bedded tens of thousands of women.

Californication is of course, a must watch. His verbal style is too much for me to use irl, but his vibe and fundamentals are untouchable.

A streetcar named desire. Watch marlon Brando in this, this is where the modern archetype of the bad boy literally comes from.

Of all the bond films, I’d say Casino Royale is the best in terms of what to mimic. Sean is great and his vibe is incredible but some of his style is pretty dated. Daniel is not very good looking but his walk, facial expressions and voice exude sexual intensity.
