So I went out last night to run some night game, long story short I was riding a high popping numbers right and left; didn't realize that the two girls my wing and I first approached at the new bar we walked into were actually finessing us. It's embarrassing but they were cute and they made it sound like they'd be splitting the shots with us (my buddy really as I don't drink). Got the shots (he paid for them, as she conveniently "forgot" her wallet), after they drank them they told us they were going to meet their "friend" . They told us to meet them upstairs (there was nothing upstairs haha, it was closed). So anyway my buddy and I pretty much realize we got finessed, saw them like an hour later and they had some bullshit excuse about how they tried to find us (and tried to get us to buy more shots with a new girl as well now), Alex and I just chuckled and told them they should buy us shots (of course they refused). Anyway point of this story however, is as we left the bar (didn't let that shit affect me 
, just kept on keepin on and approaching more girls!) Alex points out the girl that finessed us walking with a fairly tall/big dude. As we walk by tall guy says something along the lines of "Well as long as THEY don't know!" as he looked at us when he said this I decide to find out what his issue is; so I stop and confront him.
I'd say I handled it in a fairly socially savvy way, he tried to alpha dog me (she walked off, this tool was probably an orbiter) I simply told him without backing down: "You need to back off, NOW". He kept on telling me to have a good night and to be on my way, but it was in a really condescending way (like he was giving me a command). So while still in his face (he got in mine and made the approach first) I told him "I don't take orders". Long story short he ended up backing down and trying to be friendly with me but then trying to pick a fight with my buddy after (since my friend was quiet the entire time and he figured he'd make an easier target), I managed to get him off his case (and now apparently he wants us to come for free drinks at the bar he works at, strange shit eh?)
How do you guys typically deal with violence out in the pickup scene? Whether it be boyfriends/husbands, orbiters, cockblocking girls (that can get violent too, had one try to knock my phone outta my hand last night). I'm looking for socially savvy ways to deal with things like this, what are some of your experiences? Would love to hear what you guys use as tactics for this stuff!
