Wearing own branding?

Dudes! I ended up out on a date last night that was arranged very quickly and last minute. I was already dressed for it so just went out. I realised a was wearing one of my t shirts with my name on it. I had been out with this girl before so she knew about my brand tops which might have been why she asked how my fighting was going. I think I might have looked a bit egotistic with this self promotion. A always thought this when a wore my bands t shirt before but at least it was disguised where my name is obvious. (Unless they asked about my music an noticed I had the band name on my chest!)

It looks like I'm showing off or trying to validate/qualify myself. I am thinking I should stop wearing my own brands!
