What Do You Think About This Accent?

The stereotypical Indian accent is widely considered fairly unattractive. But as most of you may be aware, there are relatively better-sounding accents than Apu's. Here's a video of an actor who's accent reflects those of a certain section of more urbanized Indians. What do you guys here at GC think about this accent? Negative, neutral, or maybe even positive? Need to change, or can pull it off with fair fundamentals?

Thanks for your time folks

valence,

While I think your first sentence falls in the "I'm a brown guy" victim mentality, I personally think the actor's voice is more attractive than the interviewers voice, so positive.

There's always tweaks you can do to your tone or speech patterns to make them grace the ears better. There's always room for change and growth when it comes to different fundamentals.

That's good to hear man.
Yup agreed. He's much more stoic and better looking too. Dated really hot chicks in the past...

On re-reading that line, I kinda do get why you think that. I didn't mean it that way, however. :)
Wrote it just for contrast's sake; to show that there are Indian accents other than the stereotype. How different, and how much more attractive are they? That's for you guys to judge since a lot of you have the outsider's perspective on it, and a lot more in-field experience than I do.

I assure you, the only reason I made this thread was to be more cognizant of how my voice can affect how people receive me.
