What Does GC Look At To Rank A Member?

Hello GC Admins

I notice a great mix of ranking on the website. Some members have less than 100 posts all time and they are ranked as Chiefan and I see others who have over 1,000 posts and they are still a space monkey.

And everything in between. Can an admin tell me what the ranks are and what they mean please?

How do you keep track of a members peformance on the forum and determine if that person deserves a rank up? At the moment, I think my rank is accurate to my skill sets... I am just wondering how you keep track of so many members.

Is it the amount of lay reports a guy is posting that determines his rank?

Is it the quality of his relationships with women?

Do some guys naturally get a higher rank immediately or shortly after joining the forum because you know them face to face and have actually seen them in action getting girls?

We do have an internal ranking system we follow, yes.

I don't want to be too crystal clear about it because I want to avoid any bad actors gaming the system.

However, I will say we are looking at the skill of the seducer first and foremost, and we are also looking at his attitude and behavior on the Boards.

You won't always be perfectly able to figure out someone's rank over text. However, the more we see of a guy, the more apparent his real life rank tends to become.

'Chieftans' are moderators and administrators.

A lot of new members joined the Boards from NextASF (which in turn came from mASF... the original online seduction forum) when that forum closed. Many of these are guys who've been in the game a long time -- in some cases predating me by quite a bit. @Gunwitch, for instance, was around not long after mASF formed from the old seduction Usenet group ASF. He predates me by a good 5-6 years (and I studied his stuff when I first joined). He is new to this particular forum, but he is not new to seduction by any means.

That's good! It's what we're going for.

The mods will discuss internally if/when we see a user who deserves a rank upgrade.

Or if we know a guy already from a prior forum or real life we may rank him up to where he should be right away.

These things have an impact, yes.

We are also looking at other signals as to the guy's genuine skill level.

If he has a bunch of LRs but we can tell he is not super skilled (maybe he has figured out some angle to easily get laid, despite having mediocre game skills), that will impact his rank.
