Sometimes, some girls need a bit more investment from you before you sleep with them. Not necessarily a relationship, but a bit more romantic investment than you had been giving them.
Some girls require this from the outset if they're more conservative or inexperienced, other times it's because you didn't quite fit into the "one night stand" category and you now, after not sleeping with her quickly, are being angled for a boyfriend role. You don't need to go full retard and give her a relationship, but you might need to strategically be a little more romantic or boyfriend-y than you would like to be.
