What to text to a ex-girlfriends you havent spoke in a year

My ex and I broke up a year ago we never spoke again except one time when our path crossed on the bus we text and see us one time 6 month ago to talk about what happpen to us and catch up at the end she wanted us to still keep in touch but I said no...she was seeing someone and I wasnt...but now Ive changed completly from the guy I used to be so what should I text her.my intention is not to get back with her just to talk I guess...nostalgy i guess.So what should i text her?

Adding to what Loser2Winner said..

If you are going to text her after such a long time.. Keep the text short. Something like:

Hey there (insert name). Are strangers allowed to drop by, just to see how things have been? ..Its been a while.

And take it from there.

Firstly, only get in contact with her if you are sure that your feelings are gone. If they are then just send a simple ice breaker text "Heya <insert name>, we should catchup sometime " Honestly I would aim to grab a drink or something as many people are terrible at communicating emotions through texting. The example above is completely non-needy, fun and a tad playful.

You can do what Chase spoke about in one of his earlier post (don't remember, maybe how to text girls). Just send her a message saying you found a cool place to eat and ask her out. If she says yes, move fast, but if she says no, move on.
