What's the best way to set up two friends?

I have two friends who I think would be a great match. But I've never done this before... We all go to the same school. I was thinking of inviting both of them to a group activity and seeing if they hit it off, but I only regularly talk/ hangout w/ one of them. The other one and I don't really talk unless we run into each other or something. Like if I text her, she'll respond and stuff, but I'm pretty sure she'd ignore me if I said "hey come have dinner with me and my friends."

So I was thinking of just messaging the lady: "Hey Blank! This may sound dumb, but I met a bro who I think you'd really like. He's 6' 4" but it's his personality that really makes him a catch. Can I give him your number? Or like set you guys up on a coffee date?"

The only other idea I have is inviting both of them to a party, but idk that kinda sounds like a bad idea.

Any ideas guys?

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake

You could do a lot worse than the draft text ^^.
Definitely be open about it (without being clumsy). You're a third party, so u have nothing to hide from your lady friend. Also, how much does she respect your judgment on this?
I assume you've already discussed this in some depth with the bro.

Board games event where you need talk or somewhere chilling where people get to talk and know one another. Movie is the worst choice, same for bar or clubs

organise a night going bowling or playing pool or something. Something interactive as opposed to sitting in silence or where it's less likely to be 'fun'. Invite them both and keep sticking them together
