This is kind of a niche question, but I'll try to generalize it as much as possible.
I rap. I'm not a rapper, but I can lay down a pretty solid flow on a beat. Sometimes, girls ask me to rap for them - and I have told them no every time. On dates, I'll say no because it's just not going to do anything good for the vibe. At bars, I feel like if I start rapping then I'm being "too extra". So that's the general sense. I have rapped at party's a few times but that's usually different and I'm probably the instigator with a couple of guys friends - maybe girls see maybe they don't.
For a specific scenario:
Last night, this flirty shit-tester girl asked me to rap, then when I refused said, "You have to! (Why?) Because I told you to! You have to prove yourself to me!"... which I didn't think of a better response than just laughing at her and changing gears.
What to do there?
In a meta / very general sense, what do you guys do when a girl asks you to display value? In one sense I get that "yea, show off your value if prompted, duh!" but in the other I feel like it leans into a chasey / peacocking frame.
Thoughts?
