Has anybody run into a pretty cool girl whose pretty funny/witty and has some pretty good comebacks to things you throw at her but sometimes she references things you don't know about.
Say it's music she likes
Or an old movie you've never seen
Or whatever!

How do you pass this shit test?
I find that if I happen to pass them, the girl will respect me more and think I'm cooler for knowing what she's talking about.

Ok I understand that this is a hard question to answer.
I'm basically assuming that everybody's gone through a shit test like this before. What are the chances of that?
So I'm just asking you guys to be creative.
Let's bounce ideas off of each other.

Let's say a girl is really attracted to you and she's at the point where she's shit testing you like crazy. She's trying to see if you're cool enough to sleep with. It's you're final test.
"So do you know (insert band/artist here)?"
And you're like shit...that's a genre of music that I'm not too familiar with.
And suddenly, you're relatability is going down the drain.
You're not on her level.

Now, let's hear some thoughts.
I don't care how crazy or uncreative you think it might be, let's hear it.
You can even share some shit tests that you have trouble passing and we can all find responses to them together.

a good date brings a smile to your lips... and hers

Utilize what's known as a conversation "cut". It's a simple technique used in conversation. Basically, you just navigate away from the topic at hand if you have no idea what she's talking about.

Her: "So do you know (insert band/artist here)?"
You: "No, not really. Have you ever been to their concerts?"

It's difficult to be relatable on every single level with a girl. The best cuts are done with something that relates to the topic at hand (band to concert transition relates by music) but you can still do a complete 180 and cut to a different topic.

That, in essence, is how you form an emotional connection with practically anyone; don't dwell on the topics that separate you, and instead move onto topics that bring you together.
