Hey everybody,
I've been doing pretty well on getting in the flow of approaching women and am grabbing numbers consistently, but lately I've had a stretch of 7 no-responses. The last one was humiliating. This has never happened before so I'm wondering if there's a need to change my general outlook/plan.
Usually a girl's eyes (pupils) will dilate if she likes you, and this used to happen to me almost every time I'd meet a girl in the USA, (even in EU when I've been) but I haven't seen that in the last 12 contacts I made here. I'm not letting it affect my interactions but internally it's hard to not feel a little insecure, it makes me wonder if it's looks and different tastes (I'm living abroad now, in Buenos Aires) or something deeper than that, but I can't figure it out.
The only things I can pick out is that I've had longer sharper stubble (broke my trimmer, don't like to shave) and too long hair. I got a fresh haircut as it's stupid hot out now and I'll trim down the facial hair soon but physically my appearance/demeanor is pretty much maxed out and I'm running out of ideas for how to fix this.
Can facial hair really make such a difference? Someone somewhere recommended that muscular men stay clean-shaven/5 o'clock shadow because the perceived dominance can be a bit intimidating. As a shorter man I feel that it's alright because it balances out, but maybe I'm wrong. I'm doubting it because the last 10 #s came to nothing and the facial hair was the only difference.
Or maybe it has nothing to do with your looks and my approach is off, which would be even more frustrating because it feels alright and most my interactions actually go very well. If I can get into a conversation with a girl I want to hit on I'll get the # 8 times out of 10, but then it all goes to hell.
What real options do I have? I'm going to keep swinging but I'm aware that only fools try the same thing 324324 times expecting a different result. Is it just a learning curve thing?
I've read the articles on facial hair/styles but I'd love to hear any thoughts on the matter, especially on changing strategies. It's a bit perplexing to be in this kind of situation, maybe I just have massive shit stains on all my pants and never realized it haha
