Hello gents,
I apologize in advance for this long-winded post.
First, some background:
During a Superbowl party I met a very cute girl. After the game was over we chit chatted a bit (she initiated the conversation, I was watching the replays). Occasionally I would look back at the TV to see some of the highlights from the game. At the time, I had a ring on my right hand, which was resting on the arm rest of the chair, and she was sitting to my right. Then she puts her hand on mine, kind of plays with the ring a bit and says she likes it. But she definitely did let her hand linger in a more-than-coincidental way. I also had my left leg crossed over my right knee, so the bottom of my foot was facing her, and she places her foot up against mine, commented on the fact that I had large shoes, and had complimented me on the way I laced my shoes (?).
I figured the hand lingering was flirtatious in a way (let me know if I am wrong), so I continued talking with her. It came up in conversation that she had cooked something the other day, and I mentioned that I also enjoy cooking. She replied that she'd love to try something I make. I have a friend of mine whose got some skills w/ women and he mentioned that that's usually an indication that you're going in the right direction. I told her I'd love to have her over some time, and she asked for my phone so she could put her number in, to which I happily obliged. The conversation continued, it came up that I enjoy brewing my own beer, to which she also said she'd love to try some sometime. Then she said she'd like to have me over for some drinks and a movie sometime.
This concludes the background
Now I don't have much skill w/ women (which is why I'm here in the first place), but these all sound like reasons to get together (hey, I'm not complaining!). Without getting into detail, she is in California for a week, until next Wednesday. So yesterday I texted her (and these are the only messages I've ever sent to her so far, if you think there's something good I can say, let me know). Anyway, (Me) "Hey [name], what day do you get back from California?" (Her) "The morning of the 12th" (Me) "Okay, cool, let's get together that Friday." (Her) "Haha, sounds splendid" (Me) "Great, let me know how Cali is" (Her) "Will do
"
Coincidentally, I just realized today that next Friday is Valentines day. I completely forgot about it, but I figure I can work that to my advantage somehow? By the way, this all may seem irrelevant, but I'm am only giving you what I have to work with.
But anyway, to the point. Would it be better for me to A) Cook for her here at my place and try to work the magic here or B) Head to her place for drinks and a movie?
Both of us are college students who live in the same apartment complex w/ three room mates each. My room mates are rather unsanitary people so our common room is usually covered in their garbage. I feel like it would be more effort to have us all clean up the common room so we have a place to eat and then coordinate so that they can let her and I have our privacy than it would be to be at her place for drinks and a movie.
Yours truly,
-Randy Bobandy
