Why some girls block you on FB for no particular reason?

Sometimes I go through some old messages on FB and still find myself surprised to see some people (most girls) that not just unfriended me, but also went through the pain of actually blocking.

I understand when there was a failed escalation, or a bad date or some strong chasing or if you were lovers.

But why when there were only a few messages exchanged and no action for a long time (ie.: no unfriending, no further messages from you or her) someone would go through the effort of blocking someone that should mean little to them?

What can be possible causes and motivations.. ?

It could be a lot of things. Maybe she heard some rumours about you, or she just wants to be more private with her fb account...etc. But it's really not that important if it's just a girl you barely know. At the end of the day, it's her lost for cutting you out.

Indeed, not a "personal" thing, just curious to understand people.
What (usually) brings the blockee to block someone when the blocked is neither a threat nor annoying..
