Woman cancels abruptly. Doesn't immediately offer to reschedule. What's the move?

"My roommate sprained her ankle I can't make it" minutes before we meet. No offer to reschedule.

Is there any move besides simply deleting her number?

Give us some context! How did the approach go, what was her level of interest, did anything happen that might have resulted in her getting cold feet?

If everything went well and you felt things were going smoothly, maybe just give her the benefit of the doubt and reschedule. If things were meh during the approach, it's possible she's just not keen. In any case I usually use a simple three strike rule - if she cancels three times it's just not going to happen.

You can usually tell in advance if a girl is really flaky when you talk to her, but in any case once you get her out on the date you can press her on it a bit to gauge whether she's a keeper.

a good date brings a smile to your lips... and hers

This was a Tinder chick. So no real approach. But she verified that she was coming about 15 minutes before this happened. She seemed excited to meet up though.

Ah tinder, never been on it and don't plan to ;) you'll have to talk to some of the online dating gurus round here.

For what it's worth, I imagine tinder girls are going to tend to be flakier, simply because the medium makes it much easier and lower-investment to set up an encounter.

Make sure you treat these tinder girls as if they are girls you've approached, build plenty of rapport, maybe a little bit of deep diving to establish some familiarity, etc. Girls are girls everywhere and they are all much more enthusiastic to meet when they feel like you both know eachother and it's not just some lucky draw.

And after all maybe her friend really did bust an ankle. Did you try to reschedule?
