Found this article and thought it would be a good idea to share with all you guys. It's about a woman having it hard because she is beautiful.

My god, just read the comments, over 5000! The jealousy from other women is just bouncing off the walls!

I'm pretty sure this was an April Fool's article from 2012.

Anyway, the reaction of the women in the comments does not seem to be jealousy so much as it is social policing; even a beautiful woman strutting around begging people to not hate her because she's beautiful is going to get hammered down... and not to comment on this woman's looks, but I'm not certain most would include her in their "beautiful" category.

The nail that sticks up gets hammered down; most people just don't have a lot of patience for braggarts, whether they're showboating in a blatant "I'm the best!" way, or the arguably even more detestable "It's not easy being this awesome" way.

Haha that was my first thought after seeing the photos of her! Also, it seems that she attracts lower-value men (guys buying her drinks and paying for bus tickets and cab fares).

It all checks out to me

Honestly, I also thought what the fuck when I saw her pictures (although the one near the laptop was good). Then I read her experience, and then saw the comments section. Holy fuck, 5000 commments for that! And THAT made me post the link, haha!

Gents, I can assure you this was not an April Fools.

SHe is a semi-celebrity over here in the UK, and has written a couple more articles along the same line. I also wouldn't read too much into it, because its from the Daily Mail newspaper which is a tiny bit sensationalist

You know it's funny.

Because i see myself in her shoes, in a way. I am not good looking but my parents tell me i do while they also treated me very funnily growing up. I had friends who lower my self esteem.

So when i found new friends and they treat me well, and i want to tell people like it is.... that i am just like them and please do not treat me like one king, does this mean i am a bastard, now?

Please let me know, because i feel like that girl. So do i find people like me or i be 'fake' then?

It's like bottled up self talk that is released by drugs. Just that in this manner, i can't believe people see the thing or me as totally "weird". Pretty profound.
