The title of my post is an allusion to this being my first FR. I'm home right now for the holiday and I can't just wait for school to resume as there are lots of places with human traffic (the ideal for a beginner in pick up) and overall we all know college is the bump for the social arts.
I woke up yesterday with two missions in mind; deposit some money in the bank and rectify my sim card issues at their (the service provider's) office.
Meeting Girl 1:
At the bank as I walk in I observe through my peripheral vision a girl that I've seen frequently in my neighbourhood. She's new around and I haven't spoken to her (well I only speak to a few people in my neighbourhood even though I've lived here for almost a decade). I'll call her NewGirl. I've been seeing her around randomly and I haven't approached her. She's really cute and always by herself. I move to the place where the deposit slips are and before I start filling it I glance at the direction where she was and lo and behold, she wasn't there. I felt slightly disappointed until all of a sudden she is positioned right next to me as I fill my slip. She says "ahh, here's a biro" as she picks up one from beside the bundle of deposits slips, indicating that she's been searching for one to use. I'm still looking down as I fill my slip. I want to say something but somehow I hesitate. Then I thought, all this while I've been thinking of how to approach this girl and somehow the big guy up there just placed her beside me right here. If I don't say something then he might as well come down and give me a knock on my head, I wouldn't want that
Me: I know you. You live around my neighbourhood (I decided to use a situational opener)
NewGirl: Where? (said with a puzzled look)
Me: xxx (name of place). You're new around
NewGirl: How did you know?
Me: I know every face around. When I came from school for the holiday I just noticed you (she gives me an ok look). How's your stay? (before she could reply a woman comes in between us, she's trying to get the deposit slip. This makes us both fall into awkward silence for a few seconds and then she walks to join a queue in front of the counter. I join another queue as we are carrying out different bank transactions. When I'm done with mine I still see her on her line as it's moving slow. I was calculating how to talk to her before I go. The truth is I should just walk straight to her and continue the conversation but I'm too conscious of other people around. As an excuse to spend more time in the bank and see if she finishes so we can have a complete conversation I head to the water dispenser, grab a cup and get some water. I then assist a guy who has his hands full. As I stare towards her direction I observe she's staring at my way. The guy beside me then walks towards her and she hands over a pen to him. So she was staring at him coz she wanted to return the pen she borrowed from him I guess. She then walks back to her queue. There are just three other people there and she's close to the counter where the teller is. I thought, "fuck it! I have to say something to her before leaving". So I walk up to her...
Me: Looks like I finished before you ( I stare deep into her eyes and with my peripheral vision I can see the people around staring at me)
NewGirl: (she gives a slight smile and I smile back slightly, mirroring her)
Me: See you around (I then walk off as it felt awkward to continue a conversation in such circumstance and I'd still get to see her around)
My Observations:
As we were filling our slips initially when we started talking, I should have still found a way to continue the conversation even though a woman decided to stand between us causing a barrier. As I didn't do this she left and I didn't even get to give her a compliment (i.e going direct after a situational opener) and then introducing myself. I didn't get her name at all. Well I will still see her around
I'm always very low energy (although I don't think it was bad for the setting; a banking hall which is not always noisy), but I felt like my voice was too low and not deep enough (I've been practising deepening my voice and making it audible, but sometimes I slip right back to my old voice, just like in this conversation). I feel like I need to learn to speak up as sometimes people around say they can't hear me. Although I have improved and NewGirl obviously heard clearly all I said
Also I do not think my opening was strong (I'm not sure). I thought it was ok to make her understand that we stay in same neighbourhood and I didn't get to the part where I show my interest (by giving her a direct compliment). And also there was no touch initiated. I think it's salvageable coz I'll still see her. When I see her again I plan on saying something like this
Me: We meet again (with a smile)
NewGirl: xxx xxxx
Me: I'm Dark Knight what's your name?
NewGirl: I'm xxxx
Me: ( I stretch out my hand and smile and then deliver a genuine compliment)

So after leaving the bank I enter a bus to the customer care centre of my network provider. As I reach there I meet lots of people with the same issue; their sim cards have been blocked. I was asked to meet a guy who would give me a number. He hands me a paper and lo and behold, I'm number 71. I have to wait for my turn. I scan carefully carefully my environment, using a low awareness radius to check out if there's any cute girl I can talk to while being stuck there. While some people were sitting others were standing, including me. I observe a cute girl standing in front of a counter where a customer care agent is attending to her, so I decide to leave her be. I then see a smallish girl in stature sitting on a couch afar off with two other people beside her. They both leave and I head over and sit beside her. She's just just OK in looks and decide I can use this for practise. I later found out she was a midget (well she isn't as short as your typical midget but she's really short and has bent legs as midgets do. I discovered all of this after our conversation when she stood up). We'll call her Midget. As I sit beside she's focused on her phone
Me: What's your number
Midget: 50
Me: Well I got a lucky number (I show her my paper). 71 is really lucky
Midget: (She gives me a wide smile)
Me: We are probably going to stay here forever, just look at how many people are here
Midget: yea (smiles)
Me: I'm Dark Knight what's your name
Midget: I'm Midget (I immediately stretch out my hand and she puts hers on mine and we both smile)
Me: I really like your cap(she's wearing a nice cap), it looks cute on you (I say this touching the cap slightly
Midget: Thank you (she says this while looking down and giving me a shy smile
I deep dived her and found out she lives quite far from where I stay so I just zero my mind not to number close. But that doesn't stop me from having a conversation to pass time. We talk for a while on and off, with me always initiating the conversation and her gladly following my lead and opening up. She's really shy. My voice was sometimes inaudible as I had to repeat my words for her to hear me (this happened just a few times though, but still I need to work on that). Eventually we are silent for a while as I check through my phone. She then stands up and moves closer as it's almost her turn. That's when I saw it (not clearly though as she walked really fast)! She was a fucking midget! I once saw a movie where one of the lead characters was fucking a really pretty midget and I read one of Tucker Max's report where he went to a party filled with midgets and his female friend helped him hook up with a hot one. So I became obsessed with the idea of fucking a midget at that time. And here I was, talking to a midget and I didn't even know she was one up until the end. That concludes my report. I hope my writing is comprehensive and if there's any correction that can be made in my style of writing, do let me know
