I was reading a post by Sonny Arvado who fell off the map in recent years but had some real good shit out, it's about gold rushes:

A common belief held is that some cities are a lot better for dating as a guy than other cities are whether that is due to gender ratios, culture, vibe of the local women, and a list of other reasons we can get into. Some cities have a reputation that is warranted as being horrible cities for dating and meeting women whether that is because local women are not as attractive, more stuck up, social circle culture predominates, and a good list of other reasons. Toronto and San Francisco are two cities I hear being thrown around a lot in masculine spaces as the worst major cities for single men.
Lets keep it to one country though whether that is America or Canada.
Americans claim that New York City and Miami are excellent cities for dating and meeting women but the question that pops into my head is, if a city has been identified as such, for how long much longer is it actually a good city for dating and meeting women?
What's to stop an army of Silicon Valley creeps from flooding Miami given that they have so much money on average, and San Francisco is more expensive than Miami, and putting a significant dent on the dating culture there by say just existing and fucking up gender ratios?
One of my friends who is Canadian tells me Montreal cannot possibly remain a good city for single men for long as more and more thirsty pickup artists from Toronto move in to aggressively game women who are not used to such an influx of creepy dudes. Maybe my fellow Canadians can comment here.

The #1 Rule About Gold Rushes • Strength By Sonny
The #1 rule about gold rushes is simple. NEVER EVER TELL ANYONE ABOUT A GOLD RUSH. When you do, word gets out and a "good thing" gets ruined shortly after.
