Do the rules in 'How to ask a girl out and always get a yes apply in any situation. I see a lot of this advice as only be applicable to cold approach. I wanted to know if this article can be used more universally.

I've avoided dating in the work place, but am leaving my post at the end of the month to go to a different organisation. There are a couple of girls who I have known for the year I have been here who I'm interested in, but avoided going out with because I worked with them and wanted to avoid the drama. I've dated other girls in between but nothing that has been long term. I think the girls are interested in me, and I regularly go out drinking with them as part of a wider group.

Same applies if you meet a girl who has a boyfriend. You know her reasonably well, but its not like you're going in cold.

I just wondered if the principles are the same. Do I got direct? or try and keep it casual and not make my intention clear?

Chase has a good post on dating girls at work https://www.girlschase.com/content/can-you-flirt-work-under-radar-why-yes-you-can

I think in work environments, attraction doesn't expire quite so quickly. You need to be subtle if you don't wanna get busted and known as the office playboy (or worse, creep). Also the fact that you're seeing these women regularly can build up alot of sexual tension over a long time.

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake

If you're leaving at the end of the month, then the rules have changed. You can just go direct and ask her out, no big deal. Just go do it.

Here's a good plan. Go over to the one you like the most and say, "Hey, since I'm leaving at the end of the month, you want to grab some lunch with me?" If yes, just ask what day is best.

When you go out for lunch together, then tell her she's beautiful and ask her out.

This way you don't have to worry about sexual harassment complaint at the workplace and potentially getting a bad reference for future jobs.
