Do you even slightly enjoy club atmosphere? Or are you there for the sole purpose of getting laid?
I used to go clubbing a lot, but I mostly went to specific clubs and raves that cater to my specific music tastes - in my case House / Techno / Psytrance / Hip Hop , and I enjoy alcohol, smoking, and the general underground club and rave type atmosphere. And I never went there just to meet women. I went there because I loved the music and checking out new DJs.
If you aren't into any of this, it will show in your demeanour - no wonder you stick out like a sore thumb as "that guy who is trying to pick up girls"
To answer your question...my main reason to be there is because it has classically been the "go to" suggestion in the west for getting laid easily.
I suppose I do kind of enjoy it to be around people in a special occasion, such as new year's eve or those long, sweaty summer's nights.
And you get to see hot girls as well.
As for alcohol and smoking, I absolutely hate it. Just being in the smoking area makes me feel like my "health bar" like in a computer game, is draining away.
And I don't take a drop of alcohol either for the night.
The main advantage of the club is that you can approach the girls you wouldn't in daygame because you weren't sure how old they were as they walked past. It takes that barrier away so it broadens your approaching pool.
But it introduces many other obstacles such as the girl can barely hear you and the aforementioned horrible cigarette smoke in the only semi quiet area.
