Hey Judes... (fuck..) Dudes!
I feel like this sort of post already exists here but I can't find it so here's another.
Lately I've found myself in a familiar situation in which I'm stuck in a small town an hour away from the nearest populated area (at least populated enough to be able to walk ten feet without seeing someone you know) for the next 3 months until I head off to a university campus with a reputation for it's parties (after visiting, I can confirm: it's gonna be a nice life there).
So I decided to make the most of my situation (where I have to use mostly online game and running day game opportunistically when I find myself able to get away for a bit on rare occasions. I've started writing down lines for online openers and testing them followed by differently paced conversations. I only just started tonight and already my results are looking far better than before.
I'll share my findings here, please feel free to add ideas here for openers (I'm having fun testing them!). I don't care if they're for online openers or in person approaches, I'll test them all out as I get the chance to (can't think of a more fun motivation for cold approaching).
Anyway, here are my findings:
Thus far, I've only tried two openers online and I honestly don't remember how the last in person approach started too well (it was about two weeks ago... school and work are a nasty tag team against free time to approach rn since I fell behind after an incident where I was hospitalized... if you know, you know. It's irrelevant.)
I ran a very small experiment on Hud tonight, where I send 3 women one message and 3 the other. (all a higher caliber, in my opinion)
Credit given where credit is due, I started off using the first (thanks, Henrik):
A year or two ago, this worked pretty well for me as I was sending it out by the masses (If I had to guess, the returns are very disproportional). I even met my first serious relationship and ex fiancé with this. Although these days, the opener doesn't stand out enough and women just roll their eyes "ugh... another one of these" and move along to the next (Mind you, my pictures are good and I'm a good looking guy... I've done some modeling. Doesn't matter, do this and 9 times out of 10, your goose is cooked). All three women left it on read and never replied, I think one of them even unmatched too... (bummer, I was hoping one of them would pull though... I really dig cute foreign business/ professional women these days).
It's not all bad though. For the most part, I stick to something similar to it through and through as it seems to be on the right track. Henrik seems to be right structurally, with his five messages and the logic behind them (check it out for yourself, the thread is worth a look anyway... I'm realizing now that's the opener thread I was looking for
...Fuck it, I feel this dives a bit more into specifics. Feel free to take this down if you disagree). Though the specific phrasing doesn't work well (with the acception of bumble, where he got a LR with this and where I met my ex fiancé. It seems to work best when the girl opens, not the guy. I still use it here for now as the new opener I use doesn't translate well when the woman opens).
The second opening message I used I got from a previous post of mine I dug up (Thanks, Skills... no idea why tf I wasn't already using this). Only I put a different spin on it here and there and my results skyrocketed. 3 out of 3 women replied almost immediately (and I don't think they were even online when I sent it). I ended up walking away from this part of the experiment with 2 out of 3 women agreeing to a date after responding overenthusiastically and one with paragraphs. The third left it on read, oh well, can't win them all (although it's worth noting they were actually the first I tried it with and hadn't had the chance to adapt it for myself, so it came out looking super longwinded and somewhat out of nowhere).
One of the girls (imagine early 2000s emo style... my childhood self would've been really happy with this one), had originally left me on read but when I came back with the other message became very excited to talk (she was the one who ended up writing me novella sized messages) but turned out to be 3 hours away... too far for either of us (Well, I drive 5 hours a day for one of my gigs in a freelance delivery service so I was open to it but I guess it came across as over reaching lol).
The other of the two that worked out (A model with a passion for parties) was close by and gave me her snap, we're currently setting up a time to go out for a drink.
I'll share the conversation between me and the model for brevity:
Me: "Can I be honest with you??"
Her: "yea ofc"
Me: "I think you're just my type, a stylish good timer.. ready for ur test ;P"
Her: "Ofc I am"
Me: "Hm what do u consider a fun night out, lady??"
Her: "A huge party and getting super fucked up"
Me: "Interesting, that does sound like a good time"
Me: "You wanna grab a drink and fucked up together sometime??"
Her: "Omg fuck yes lmk when I'm always down"
Me: "Great, we'll find a time ;P you got a way to keep in touch??"
Her: "Yea snap"
Her: (her snap username)
Notes:
I have a version of this written out for women who don't give me much to work with, so I can't get a read on (nothing in their profile bio and/or very few pictures). But I start with Skill's line "Can I be honest with you??" because it's a good hook, they're curious (hell, if someone walked up to me in person and said this I go along with it too) and its different. Notice I didn't even say hi. It shakes her out of autopilot, she's spent all this time on apps scrolling through guys and messages all starting with a generic hi or hello followed by another very boring and overused question. Then suddenly, bam! Here's something straight to the point and different.
I adjusted Skill's original test question for the girl (by making a relatively safe yet somewhat suggestive cold read from her pictures... good timer does infer that we're both open to a night of hedonism ) but the original "What are 2 of your best qualities that have nothing to do with your appearance?" works as well, just shorten it a bit (It looks like much more than it is on apps and phones). I made sure however, to keep the spirit of what I believe to be the intent of this text. Basically, I wanted to frame her as the pursuer, not me. I get to choose if it's on or off or off or on Little do they know I already decided that I do want them, so I give them a test that isn't too hard to pass. They pass, I shoot the "Interesting" text from Henrik's method and follow it up with a date that they're likely to agree to (such as getting a drink for a party girl or getting a drink and talking about ghosts with the emo chick who's just getting into the party scene. I ask for a form of communication, I prefer to keep it vague by saying "a way to keep in touch" because I've learned that some women are uncomfortable giving out their personal phone number to someone they don't know is who they say they are yet (I get it) and others don't want to share social media (I definitely get it). Keeping it vague let's them choose what they're most comfortable with and we can keep things moving along smoothly.
From there, I usually send an icebreaker text and set up the date the next day. Although, I'm experimenting with doing that on the spot since attraction for some women tends to fizzle out quick during this time. I'm usually aiming more so for a hookup than a relationship of any sort and women recognize this, I'm not shy about it on my profile. I just got out of a serious relationship. So it's more of a make it happen now or never sort of deal, I've noticed.
Feel free to add or improve upon what I have here. And please! Share some lines! (At least for fun) I wanna try some more out... this shit's like cocaine to me
