The problem with things like money or status is that they do not fulfill certain needs. Would you trade your mother or father for a certain sum of money or a certain status? I doubt it, because they provide something to you in your life that money or status don't provide. The same thing goes for one's friends. And lovers.

I'm reading a book called Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman (Nobel prize winner).
In the introduction he says that we have two types of decision making:
1) fast and intuitive
2) slow and deliberate

When you are seducing a new girl, you are triggering the first system, which is based on 3 things:
- her own past experiences (with men)
- her intuition (which is a very very fast mechanism for decision making)
- her risk assessment (this is linked to biology and her primal brain = survival mode: "is this guy a threat, can he hurt me?")

System 01 is FAST AND AUTOMATIC.
We as human beings are not aware of it.
Only after careful deliberation we activate system 02.

THE FIRST STEPS OF SEDUCTION ARE ALL ABOUT SYSTEM 01:
- approach and show you have value (=you are a real lover, thus different than other men with whom she has failed before/been bored with with)
- present yourself as a non-treat (=not triggering survival mode)
- develop sexual tones to trigger sexual desire (=follow your "guts" girl and you gonna have a great time with me)

You may be a zilionaire or sleep at your friends couch, you can tell a story like Jammie Fox or be a borderline aspie, but if you can trigger those things THE RIGHT WAY, especially in that particular first moments of getting to know each other, her decision making is probably gonna be favorable to you...which in turn is gonna cascade to sex and maybe a relationship.

This is why it's pointless to try to diss seduction like you did, even using biology/determinism/material value as an excuse.
