How old is too old to "make it" if your goals are fame and fortune?

I mean borderline celebrity or even getting to celebrity itself. Being on the level to where you can date supermodels and the top 0.01% of high status and good looking women the world is trying to get.

Obviously some ways are sports for example but that window of opportunity closes in your teens.

Others are music and film, not sure when that opportunity closes.

I occasionally think of this and put the cut off to 25.

Rough estimate:

High-intermediate aspiring PUA: Top 10% socially.
Average PUA or natural: Top 5% socially.
Elite PUA or high-end natural: Top 1-2% socially.

Again, I don't you will find many guys on the level you ask for on a seduction forum ;)
There are guys here that can teach you to get to 1%.

Celebrity is not a goal but a byproduct of success in a tangible pursuit. Don't let the tail wag the dog.

Sure polish your social skills so you are comfortable among other successful people and it will pay dividends, then the opportunity for hedonistic pursuits will come.
I looked at a crowd of gentlemen the other day who were drinking top shelf cocktails and were all well to do:
That guy made a killing in the stock market and is still getting good returns every year,
That guy owns a multi million dollar construction company that his dad started and he built to the level it is today.
That guy has a management company and other people pay him to manage their business.
That guy built a large law practice
Etc. Etc.

They all had a shared interest in a recreational pursuit and that was why they were together at that time...And Social media posts about the event were STRICTLY FORBIDDEN and would result in expulsion...

So use your good job to help you build your own business where you can have the time and social capital to run with the big dogs.

@Oh Pry,

Ever heard of Samuel L. Jackson? Didn't have his first big hit until he was 43.

Alan Rickman or Larry David? 42.

Burt Reynolds? 40.

Christoph Waltz? 53.

Steve Carrell? 43.

The Breaking Bad guy, Bryan Cranston? Also 43.

Regis Philbin? 57.

Patrick Stewart? 47.

Same for Tommy Lee Jones -- 47.

Rodney Dangerfield? 46.

Billy Bob Thornton? That guy who was married to Angelina Jolie and they had vials of each other's blood or something? 41 when he got his first big part.

Morgan Freemen? Few people knew who he was until he hit 50.

I don't know if you'll recognize many of these guys. They're pretty minor figures. </sarc>

And this is Hollywood, where there's a major emphasis on youth. For men who get known in the business or political spheres, the average age (as well as cut-off age) is higher.

Now, athletics, yes, much lower age cut-off.

Or if you want to do something like become a famous physicist, you probably won't be making breakthroughs past your 30s. But your star might not take off until later. Stephen Hawking, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and Albert Einstein didn't become widely known until their mid-40s.

Many authors don't become famous until their 40s or 50s.

I know a lot of guys have this fixation on youth, and feel like their lives ended at high school or college or whatever it is.

There is this uncanny "my best years are behind me" fixation some people have.

I have never understood it, personally.

I presume it's some kind of past time orientation.

But reality violates this opinion over and over, in some of the most brutal ways possible, ruthlessly, relentlessly, and unforgiveably.

I wonder if it's some sort of aspiration mixed with laziness, like "Well, I don't REALLY want to do the work of being famous, but if I DON'T become famous, I will feel so disappointed in myself. So I have to find some way to let myself off the hook. Ah, that's it! I'm too late! The chance has passed me by!"

I feel like a lot of people do this, about a whole lot of things.

I don't care about fame, but fortune is important. I always remind myself of the Rocky quote "It ain't over, till it's over". And you never know what tomorrow provides as long as you keep your eyes peeled.

One thing for sure is that you won't "make it" if fortune and fame are what you are striving for. That's because those things come if you are very good and very lucky, which means working hard for a very long time with no guarantee of results. And that's something you just aren't going to do if you don't actually love what you're working on to the point that not getting the fame and fortune is a possibility that doesn't even bother you that much in terms of the work itself.

jordan peterson just became famous and he’s old. it’s easier now to become famous than ever before with youtube and instagram. the really easy way seems to be to get in steroids and make a lot of fitness content. so many dudes are social media famous with no talent just muscles. athlete x is in his forties. greg doucette is on his way to youtube famous in his forties. other guys like david laid are very young. and it’s much easier when young. but if you want the easy way to fame it’s steroids + youtube + instagram. and all these dudes have really hot girlfriends. christian guzman is was dating nikki blakketter who is so hot. jon skywalker is a good example of an asian guy who’s even done it.

for the record i am not recommending recreational steroid use. but a list actors are using steroids for movie roles. at this point it’s a big part of the game.

the key seems to be that half natty/fake natty look where you could be natural. so at 6’2 200 pounds shredded. where it’s possible your natty so brands will still sponsor you. if you claim to be on gear a lot of companies won’t touch you b

You could be famous for nothing. Go run naked through a mall in a Santa hat, you'll be Instagram famous tomorrow. If you want to be the kind of popular that gets beautiful women, then you need to create something amazing, and make sure every one knows how amazing it and you are. That or achieve something amazing. Albert Einstein did this, Abraham Lincoln, Ghandi, ... lots of old people. Did they bang lots of chicks? I don't know.

There's a very strong correlation between ultra successful men in history with equally high sex drives, chasing and bedding lots of women - and also making world changing technology, discovery, creations, etc. Tons of examples of this, and maybe not all of them were the modern definition of "cool."

In between those guys we have a few men like Isaac Newton...

Always cool when you give your input but I think that I worded this thread differently from what I was trying to get at with the youth part.

For one, I did the research and you are right. A lot of those actors did hit fame at a later age although I think all of them were in theater and in plays before hitting the big screen.

What I was talking about is fame in the sense of becoming the elite guy who can regularly be on the radar for the top tier women out there, the models, and live that life. Acting and some professions like it offering an avenue for a guy to live a life of partying, sexy women that most men desire, and have that be a part of his life due to the fact that his lifestyle just promotes it. Not needing to game or do anything like that but hit the fame as a way to have that life. Be the guy in Insta pics with models and be the guy that is banging them.

As for youth, it does seem like hedonism is promoted as a young man's game. Even the evidence shows it that outside of the rare Dan Bilzerian or Hugh Hefner, very few famous older men dominating hedonism (sex with lots of different models and the party life) at that level.
