Since I was a boy, I always had a gentle heart towards animals. And over the years I have had:
Dogs
Cats
& Birds
There has even been times where I stumbled across a bird laying on the street with a broken leg or wing, and I took the bird home. I bought bird food, water pans, medication and I took care of the bird until he could fly again.
This is how I got my first set of pigeons. I founda female pigeon with a broken wing around a park area and I adopted her. And soon enough, a male bird showed up and mated with her and after a while I had more birds. Thats years ago though and I currently do not have any birds.
And I had a very nice dog years ago.
Right now the only pet I have is a male cat. Trust me this cat has got to be one of the nicest cats in the world. He is nice around strangers, I trained him to sit, shake my hand, roll over, come when I call him, etc.
I know women are more loving towards dogs than cats and birds. But what I do not know is how to naturally introduce my pets to women. And how to not make my choice in pets kill attraction with women.
Dogs
I have heard of men using Dogs as props to attract women. I have even seen men claim that having small dogs will attract more women than large dogs. Hence why some men buy small dogs and walk them in the park and ask women for their number. Personally I have never done something like that. If it weren't about women, I would still adopt a dog because they are wonderful animals... I genuinely love animals.
Cats
This is the question of the day. For anyone who may be reading this and have sterotypes of cat owners...
1. No I am not one of those weird cat people whose house stinks of pee. In fact, my bachelor pad is always clean and my cat is well maintained. Even when I have strangers over, there is no sign or smell to indicate "crazy cat home". And my cat is well trained so he knows where to do his business with zero scent.
2. I am not one of those people with some bipolar or autism issues / weird crazy cat guy. Im a pretty chill guy. The same way persons have dogs and are chill, is the same with me.
Ok, I just wanted to say that to make my post more clear.
.....................................................................................................................................
Since I moved to my new neighborhood in 2017, I have had 5 female neighbors who hated cats. Also at my previous job, I have had conversations with women... And I casually mentioned I have a cat. And their initial reaction was to frown or outright tell me "I dont like cats, they are thieves". Even one of my previous female managers, I had casual conversation with and told her I have a cat. And she said "I never liked cats. How do you do it?"
I have probably shared with 10-20 women over the past 4 years that I have cats. From my experience about 50% of women like cats and the other 50% hate them.
So my question is:
1. How would you recommend I react when a woman says she does not like Cats/Dogs/whatever pet?
2. How soon into knowing a woman would you recommmend I let her know I have pets?
3. Would it be a wise idea to put a picture of me and my cat/dog/bird on my social media? I do not want women who hate these pets to simply "NEXT" me because of my pet decisions.
4. Are there any ways you know that pets can help you peacock with women?
I would really like to be my authentic self without scaring women away.
P.s. I train all my pets to behave well around other humans. Any man or woman could come around my pets, play with them, touch them and they would interact with you just as they do with me.
