Looking for some advice here.
Went on a date recently with a 'one-itis' girl, who I've known sporadically through classes for almost a year.
Date went pretty well, the conversation was light and fun, managed to get a few 'subtle' and 'implied' innuendos and chase frames in there, but due to circumstances only got as far physically as holding her hand for a while whilst walking (forced to sit at a distance due to my 'quiet' cocktail bar escalation location being unexpectedly busy, and lack of reciprocation on her part).
I invite her back to my place (quite persistently) and she refuses. In essence I believe I've been put into the potential boyfriend category. She's 19 and I'm pretty sure she's never dated anyone before - she said she's interested in me but has never done anything like this before and we're moving too fast. Also we share a lot of classes this semester and we are studying abroad together in the new year - she didn't want to make things awkward in case "things went badly". She told me I wasn't wasting my time, just moving too fast, but I'm not sure. I put the ball in her court by asking her to think about what we'd need to do to proceed.
----------------
Now I know one-itis is a bad situation to be in, but just thought I'd throw it out to you guys: from your experience is there anything salvageable from this situation? In terms of inexperienced girls is moving slower (ie. 2 or 3 date process) necessary, or should I move on from this one. Please be as honest as you like.
