Visiting a friend in NYC and considering taking a job there. Is it really as great as it is made out to be? To be honest I find it pretty underwhelming. I was expecting it o have the hottest women I had ever seen but it really doesn't seem like that to me. There are certainly some cute/hot girls but overall NYC seems to have a lot of like polish/jewish women with a big nose type. It just wasn't necessarily what I was expecting honestly. AM I missing something?
Yeah, you certainly are. It has by far the hottest and most hot women of any major city for all the obvious reasons. How many places can you pick up a 5'11" hot fashion model while she's sitting on a park bench? Starbucks?

I've lived in NYC my whole life so I know that there's no shortage of hot sexy girls. I know where to find the kinds I want the kind that I would show off to my friends (not that I give a fuck for that). I've heard this same thing from other people who moved to nyc (@Protean might be the other one) and i'm really not quite sure what people's expectations were when it comes to the women.
What does hot even mean to other people is another question? Some people would call hot slim victoria secret model women with no curves hot while others like myself consider hot a cute curvy woman(real curves not sloppy fat) who works out and squats at the gym. What kind of quantity do people expect to find? There are always going to be more women that we find unattractive than attractive, but to me they never register in my mind.
I live in a outer borough not Manhattan and I can find enough attractive women where I live or the surrounding areas. Whenever people talk of NYC and the lack of attractive women their only reference point are the few select areas they visited in Manhattan . At my local gym I can spot 10 hotties on a good day easily in the one hr I spend there. The school I used to go too had so many baddies and I kinda wish I put more effort into trying to talk to them.
Florida does have some hot girls there. Ive been to Miami one time and I wouldn't argue that there could be more hotter girls there than in nyc since the weather is warmer and nicer.

Yea, I guess I had unrealistic expectations. As I walked around more I noticed a decent amount of hot girls. I would say its mores a function of the amount of people then the % of attractive people, if that makes sense. You see hundreds of people on the street much more quickly then you would in other places.
Florida is not a city.
Women in Miami are also amazing but you don't have the variety, and volume, of NYC for obvious reasons.

I moved to the city in March and thought the exact same thing when I first moved so I have some insight on this.
Like @Starboy said there is not shortage of sexy woman here in this city but you gotta know where to look to find what you're looking for. If you don't like Slavic or Jewish features yet you only go to where those woman congregate, you're not setting yourself up for a good time.
On top of that the weather is starting to cool down so women will show less skin and thus seem less attractive than they would be during Summer.
My advice is not to read too much into a short visit in this city. It's far too big to a grasp of what it would be like to live here in a short time. Hell I've been here for almost 7 months now and am just barely getting the tiniest footing here.

Yeah, 6 months is the bare minimum to even start to understand the city, much less where to find the hotties you like most, and those locations can change frequently. If you're in the right neighborhood but not the right places....you may as well be in Jersey City.
