OP, you're saying that you want to wait until your looks are better until you start approaching women.
Every guy here has felt this. While you might be talking about long-term looks improvements, but we've all had days where we didn't expect to meet a girl and we are dressed like trolls, we're feeling sick, we have a bad hair day and we want to wait until tomorrow until approaching women, when we look and feel better.
There's a lot of good reasons to go monk-mode, and take a period of your life to focus on self-maintenance. But having a mental block about your looks isn't one of them.
You have to ask yourself, why are you approaching girls? Is it to merely milk out the results you get from your good looks? Or are you trying to learn how to be social, break through inner resistance, your ego, your insecurities, etc.? Are you focused on process, or are you focused on the outcome?
You may or may not have better results when you fix your looks, and you may or may not have shielded yourself from rejection in the meantime these things improved. The real question is what will be best for you long term in terms of your personal journey.
