Tattoos - How do they affect your social frame?

I've wondered about this for while and thought it would be good to hear the opinions of other forum members.

Even though I don't have tattoos myself, I have and still am considering it. One thing I think about is what impact it will have on my social frame in seduction.

From what I've seen anecdotally, guys who have tattoos but dress very nicely tend to get pretty positive reactions from attractive girls. I think having tattoos and dressing with purpose conveys "I have a wild past, but now have got my shit together", which I assume most girls are drawn to.

In saying that, tattoos are also a filter that, once you have, you cannot turn off. For sure there are girls for whom tattoos is a dealbreaker, but are they the kinds of girls you would want to be attracting anyway? And is it possible, either through the kinds of tattoos you have or how you dress, to offset the polarising factor enough to attract even those girls?

And the bigger question - I do believe that one should choose to get a tattoo because they want to and not for any reason related to seduction - but for someone who is dedicated to PUA, what should they take into consideration when choosing whether to get tattoos?

Interested to hear your thoughts, gents.

I would say ur career. I’m a chef so obviously it doesn’t matter how many tattoos i get, it will never affect me. And although nowadays, jobs care less about hiring candidates having tattoos than the past, there are still traditional minded companies that will judge you negatively for that.

As far as girls. My experience has shown that it doesn’t matter whether they think you just look cool with the tattoos or they are scared/intimidated of you because of your tattoos (as my last couple of girls have been. Telling me directly (you’re kind of scary), they will all still fuck you anyway.

Also please ignore comments by those that don’t have any tattoos. Like guys who aren’t married or have children giving advice to other guys on marriage and children, while it may sound good in theory (often resorting to using someone else they know or heard of, instead of themselves), is often grounded in keyboard jockey

I've been wondering the same thing recently. For some reason I often (not always) find myself more attracted to girls with tattoos. So probably the same thing is happening to the girls at some more or less subconscious level. (I mean it's conscious, but not something I'm actually rationally choosing.)

But then there's also a risk of overdoing it. Stuff goes in and out of fashion. For example, a few years ago the full sleeve tattoos were all the rage. Today I see lots of people running around with all there upper or lower arm covered in ink. Or even all their chest and/or back tattooed. Often (to my eyes) it looks like simply too much.

For me, the most attractive ones on girls would be what I call "patchwork" style, meaning several small tattoos scattered over the body.

Myself I have only one, on the upper arm so it's only visible when I'm shirtless on the beach or wearing a sleeveless t-shirt. Been considering getting some more, but not sure how much sense it makes at 51. It's not that I really want more. But still, I'm wondering if it would look better. (The one I have I got at 20).

It think to a certain extent having a cool clothing style can make up for not having tats. Necklace, wristbands, that kind of stuff. On the other hand, tattoos are so much more "primal" in a way.

I agree with this for me too. The question I have in mind though is whether this is what is in fashion right now.

I mean that the type of make up, clothes, tattoos that look in now were not the ones that looked in some years ago, so maybe the trends affect what we also consider as a hot presentation.

If this is true then it does make sense to have more of the types of tattoos that are in for men right now. I guess in the future if this changes you can always remove or replace them with what will be in fashion then.

I dont think so, at least not in my case. There are many other trends currently that I dislike, such as the fake nails or lashes, or the horrible duck lips. And I was never particularly attracted to full sleeve tats even when they were trendy.

Also, I didn't consider having tattoos removed when they go out of fashion. I guess it's technically possible, but if I were to get another one I'd want it to be permament.

Tattoos is like accessories... It can work if you get the right amount of tattoos and is updated to current styles... Gen x men use to have a tribal thing going around bicep totally out of style... Baby boomers use to have a single tattoo usually marines or criminal... Milleneals use to have full sleeve one arm or half sleeve in the forearm.... Gen z is patch work what Spike has... Depends also what are you targeting... Tattoos are very acceptable now a days even in biz as long as is no over the top like face tat...

Imho for the risk reward meh.. no that much returned on investments... It will definitely help with the more artistic, emo girls and will help you stereotype... I don't know if I would get them again if i had to...

The tattoos were gotten when they were girlfriends, but girlfriends go way faster than tattoos.

Actually that's a good point that each generation has its own tattoo style. Sleeves were definitely a millennial thing, but you don't see them trending as much nowadays.

Regarding patchwork tattoos, that also kinda matches what that girl said in the video you shared about accessories - things like buttons on shoes and hats, jewellery of different metals worn together. Gen Z is all about being distinct, authentic and showing your personality through what you wear, less about traditional ideas of aesthetics.

Guys with tattoos are seen as less trustworthy. According to the stats. I personally don't take someone as seriously if they have tattoos vs not having tattoos.

They are permanent so you can't really change them.

You're probably going to attract women that have tattoos. So if they're not your cup of tea you might not wanna get them.

I personally have none and never plan on getting them. I also prefer women to have none. I like the clean natural look.

Something Gun mentioned before, and I believe is the reason he never got ink, is that, in his words, "it is perceived as low class."

I think tattoos on women and men alike can look VERY cool/stylish/sexy.

Both a neat tattoo here and there ... and hella lot of ink ... can look amazing.

Nonetheless I likewise agree

100% with this.

A dude driving his €150,000 AMG-Mercedes, tatted up with his tatted up trophy wife ... possibly being a business owner who truly owns his car (and woman?😂) still looks low class af. Even though he's wealthier than I'll ever be.

Ink might also make ME look sexier.

But I would never, ever, of my own volition, get even a tiny tattoo.

Likewise I highly doubt I'd ever take a girlfriend with a tattoo. My very high (well above Chase's "many partners threshold") partner count-ex had none. And one female friend of mine, upon seeing her MINISCULE half-hidden tattoo went from "almost not girlfriend material to me" to "definitely not girlfriend material".

I'm sure I'm far from being the only one who thinks like this or alike.

I still stand behind my statement that tattoos on women can look fucking amazing!

Large orange flag nonetheless. :)

I personally think tattoos look trashy and unprofessional. But hey life is short, if you want tattoos get them.

This guy is worried that getting ink will make girls perceive him as low class?

I see dudes with tatoos get laid all the time.

Dunno if it's a bias a la "Only muscular/good-looking/white/black/whatever guys get laid" though.

This made me laugh way harder than it should have...

I learned a ton from GW, but for a guy who had a whole module on "matching a girl's social frame", he sure didn't look like the kind of guy who matches ANY girl's social frame (unless that includes serial killers/rapists - which might be a thing, who knows...)

Then again maybe that in itself is a testament to how effective the Three Keys system really is...?

Is that Gun's mugshot? It was probably a rough night. There are only a few pics of him out there, and I always got the impression he was just showing himself to the average guys like "you don't have to look like Brad Pitt". I definitely remember him talking about dressing well and grooming.

Anyways, I view tattoos as a great peacocking example. It's a social handicap that can disqualify you from jobs. If you can survive despite it, that seems like a fitness indicator. But of course it affects the social aspect. I know a girl who still hides her tattoo from her father. She may really enjoy fucking guys with tattoos, but I don't think she would bring someone with a neck tattoo home to meet her parents if she's hiding her own tame tattoo on her side torso.

If you're not worried about jobs and other wider social implications, but only in a one-on-one first lay context, then I'm not sure. But maybe it could impact attitude similarity. I don't really understand people's motivations for getting them. I know some girls are super into them on guys, but anecdotally these have always been the more rebellious and impulsive girls with colorful pasts.

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake
