So I was reading a Girlschase article about how to be a hard target for people wanting to take advantage of you and Found that one of the archetype mentioned is the guru.

I was surprised at first but once I thought about it, I agreed.

As many of you know, I had a mildly successful online business that I grew by learning from people in this space using and teaching “guruish” methods.
Building a persona, being polemic, having masterminds and so…
I’m not gonna say it’s bad but it gets overplayed and many people in the Spanish business market tries to convert you into a loyal follower without offering much value besides admiration and closeness. I did fall a couple of times.

I’d love to hear the community take on gurus.

Seduction being a guru heavy space… surely we have all met with at least one of them.

@Teevster had some cool input in the chat.

" also if you are a beginner, i would go for someone with more coaching abilities over pu abilities. if you are upper intermediate or lower advanced, than the coaches knowledge and skill matters more though. it is like in school.... the more up in the system, the more knowledge and higher theoretical qualification is required.... the lower in grades in school the more the focus is on pedagogy"

I think a big concern is if the student isn't infield testing things for awhile and really coming to Jesus with their results at some point. Plus it's good form to work with a teacher upto what they can teach you then go for higher level teachers and or more specialized ones.

TL;DR Guru's are a necessary, misused means to success by many.

I’d love to hear the community take on gurus.
There are two kinds:

Some gurus started out by being in field all the time, getting really good, earning a reputation and hence getting a following.
Others started out by trying to get rich and famous, doing a bunch of marketing, but actually sucking at game.

I find most people have difficulty distinguishing between the two. In case of doubt, check in with some very experienced guys.

Thanks, @Karea Ricardus D.
I was mostly interested in the psychological side of gurushness.

Like, how does that happen?
Do people get their brains short-circuited by extreme charisma? Or do gurus tend to attract only yay-sayers to their inner circles?

The few times I have been in position of power, I tend to feel uncomfortable when people start to act like suckers (most of them unconsciously) around me… it should feel akward to surround yourself with people acting like that everyday.

I think those "gurus" you talk about are a lot like cult leaders... I was seeing a video about some woman that escaped from one (her cult was some leftist commie thing, not the "religious"/drug infested suicidal type), and she said the obvious: those cult leaders are all narcisists, that pretty much feed on those suckers you feel awkward with.
Now, I'm not quite saying gurus and cult leaders are the same things, but a lot of the following of said gurus tend to look quite a lot like cults, to me anyway... If you wanna watch the vid:

:)

We are always taking advantage of People. That's the first step to solving.

There's more to it. It's not just skillset. Recognizing the territory, matters as well.

Then, there's levels of. (Sorry Chase! For breaking the Fourth wall. I'm trying to turn Girlschase into ORGASMATRON! :p )

1)Government
2)*cough cough* Prince Andrew *cough cough*
3)Billionaires
4)Billionaires (Elon Musk, Mark Cuban, etc)
5)Web hosting companies
6)Chase
7)Girlschase moderators
8)Tribal Elders (who more connected to Chase)
9)Tribal Elders
10)Cro Magnon Man (who is been here, long)
11)Cro Magnon Man (who contributes value, lr, fr, etc)

And so on

And then there's mental linearity.

I know this is going to be a broken record.

But I do have the intention someday to communicate to Girlschase Westerner friends, why you are seeing enough of your fellow country men in a 'cult' and what is a 'cult', what is guru and what is the education business or business and what is influence, really.

That line is getting thinner and thinner

Sincerely.....

In Indonesia/Singapore/Malaysia/Asia, there is Westernised Asian worldview and then there's Asian worldview. Everyone is gaslighting each other.

Here, the gaslighting is sophisticated and often unconscious. Because Asians are risk averse, females rule the household (and very sex deprived of course)

Everyone here in general is gaslighting each other. Conservative Values on the front. But if your girlfriend is pregnant, Everyone will be using Allah Taala and Jesus Christ to manipulate you onto marriage. Because that's how it is.

In Asia, we know that the system (religion) is broken. We all know it but we don't say it. It is a large elephant dying in the room.

That's the manipulation. It's kinda normal here.

But it is breaking. Because the rise of LGBTQ and Western influence, and other countries influence.

i used to see only a few groups of different sets of Islam and Christianity. Now, I see so many

Before you guys are in a cult,
our cult here is considered "normal". I'm quite surprised that my Western friends don't realize that the world can be evil.

I am going to check it as soon as I get home. Thanks @Beck Bass

Definitely, I think “cult leader” is probably more akin to the concept I wanted to convey.
You know I am flabbergasted
this phenomenon.

Like, is everyone prone to fall victim of this kind of charming?
And how can you protect yourself?

Also, the reason I brought this in the forum is because I’ve seen a lot of companies in the seduction space following the “cult” recipe.

One of the most famous seduction companies (not saying names) is a complete echo chamber and honestly it saddens me.
(The cult leader is chubby, unkempt and uncalibrated, yet the followers take his word as gospel… hard to unsee).

Yeah, this cultist mentalities are becoming more common lately.
I think it’s because that “mental market” used to be served by religion… but with religion falling out of grace, people are finding new “cults” to fill the void.
