I guess it's important to realise there's no single right or wrong way. I don't think one method is more superior or advanced than another, personally.
It's based on your personality imo. Take someone like RSD jeffy. They have been censored because we are trying to keep rudeness and argumentativeness to a minimum. You never know what you have until it is gone and we were a really really tolerant bunch in the old GC site. No way whiney old me would have survived long here and I was already skirting on banned land. The patience led to me having a phenomenal experience with women and also impacting the forum in a way that I still get DMs about my lay reports.

Somehow, it worked, maybe due to the patience of the mods and maybe its because we all kinda knew why we were here. You had to look a lot on the pickup community before you came across GC, I somehow ended up here due to MSAF where I never posted due to the drama posts but lurked.

We kept it lenient enough but it didn't devolve into a PUAHate type of shit where you had incels at every corner not taking action and making a place one of the most toxic environments on the web. The balance was kept between outright banning people for offenses to keeping it lenient enough.

I think that version of GC is done for good though. We have a lot of people coming over from forums who, hate to say it, feel more entitled to certain privileges and have a shorter fuse than normal. In the coming months, I predict an exponential rise in flame wars, banned users, and a culture shift. I'd advise all veteran users who aren't that interested in the politics to spend most of their time outside of this section and more on Field Reports, Journals, and OT.

I've thought about leaving this forum for good in the past couple months too and might make it permanent myself just thought I'd stick around. On the civility thing getting worse over the past decades just watch the political debates from the 60's compared to now. JFK Nixon debate. Both parties are super knowledgeable, respectful of one another, and civil in their discussion of differences (not to mention it is actually a debate rather than a 60 second campaign ad like you see today).

These days even a debate among politicians all within the same party is rampant with disrespect, mud slinging, and incivility (which of you watched the original Trump debates were admittedly hilarious). But just goes to show you where we are in society at the moment culturally. It's probably exaggerated by modern technology where everyone is used to being uncivil and disrespectful over the internet where that behavior is reinforced.

Regarding the traffic light system I think Chase makes a good point as the frame it's coming from is a coping frame of "I can only get some girls" where the whole idea of seduction in theory is to be able to take ANY girl you want and influence her emotions to turn her into yours.

It's the Pinnacle of seduction turning the red light into the green light.

Another thing with the "you can't get red light girls" is it's totally a mood dependent thing as well. Many of us have had the experience of meeting a girl in a bad mood who rejects you coldly and then either you meet her later or happen to come across her by chance another day and she's all of a sudden a green light girl (because she's in a better mood).

As with everything with self development we always want to analyze the paradigms were operating from and see how our current thinking holds us back and choose more empowering paradigms.

We are trying to reduce the contentiousness of the posting by focusing on the few that cause the problems, so the many that do not can have useful discussions.

We added the flagging system to make it easier for us to see what is going on. It would be more useful if more people used it. There is also reporting people diverting threads and causing problems. If you want a more civil forum, help us to police behavior.

I wouldn't say my thread was were things went south really. I have even told Velasco and said to Chase that the discussion that we had in there did not bother me.

It was getting tiresome eventually, but that's because the thread was getting too long, but overall, I am not complaining.

The issue covered here is not related to my thread though although it spilled over from it.

PS: I do not see how you may have misbehaved in that thread honestly. To my knowledge nobody has complained. But what do I know (I do not see the moderator report - but if you did something wrong you would have received a message).

Yeah lots of drama going on here recently but events like this strengthen the forum as long as the lessons learned are remembered and adhered to going forward.

Regarding the Traffic Light Method I don't think it's bad unless you realize what it is: a screening tool.

If your goal for a night out is to get your dick wet you're not looking for a challenge or some test of your seduction skills. You're looking for a girl whose receptive to your advances from the jump and who you can (relatively) easily lead to bed.

For beginners, especially virgins, I think getting that first lay, will help them stick with seduction longer. They go from cautiously optimistic to "YES this shit DOES work!"

But guys who are advanced, or guys for whom just sex isn't the primary driver for learning game, more is needed. You go from going out to get laid to going out to see what you can pull off, or going out to improve your seduction skills. You put yourself in challenging situations to see how you perform and where you can improve.

To them hearing that reds are girls that are IMPOSSIBLE to get either A.) goes against their experience if they've pulled it off in the past and B.) makes them want to go out and prove that notion wrong.

In short some guys are here to learn how to get laid consistently. The Traffic Light Method really appeals to them because it helps them achieve their goal as seamlessly as possible.

Some guys are here to learn game. Like really become scholars in the art of seduction, and reach the highest levels of aptitude that they can. For them zealots preaching that the TLS is the only way, are mildly annoying to downright enraging.

The former shouldn't have tried to push their systems onto the latter.

You do not learn by mimic and sure you have to calibrate to your own circumstances. But usually other men's experience tend to be valid for other's.

And then you go out, try stuff, report back, and adjust - with the help of others.

That's how I have done it, that's how bacchus have done, that's how everyone with success have done it.

The issue you bring up is not illegitimate per se, but this discussion has been had over and over, and leads nowhere.

The mindset also impairs growth.

You keep pointing out race for some odd reason . I don't know why. Nobody cares or can verify if you're higher status than most white people so why bother sharing that tidbit? What does higher status even mean to you? Because in this community it usually means higher financial status, abundance with high quality women,being in social circles with high value people and living a life that is not ordinary like the average person. Dan bilzerian would be a example of a high status person. You don't need to be him to be considered higher status,but just to give you a understanding of what that term could mean. It's not enough to just be financially stable. The IT nerd is financially well off with 100k gross income every year,but can't get laid and has no friends and spends his time playing World of Warcraft every weekend.
