Got some questions for you guys. I'm 29, I lost 60 pounds recently and I had throw out just about all the clothes I own. So I'm going to buy a lot now. But I'm very out of touch with what's acceptable for people my age, and what isn't. Question, are ripped jeans okay for 29 year olds? Or are they meant for the early 20s crowd? Also, what age is the limit for A&F and Aero? Reason I ask is, I'm not 100% sure what is considered immature and what isn't.

Age is a factor but tribe is a much bigger factor on what is acceptable and what isn’t.

What kind of people are you meeting with? Where are you located?

For reference: I wear ripped jeans and I’m 35 but I am also on the edgy side and most the people I frequent have urban fashion but it would be unwise to wear them at my job.
Fashion is very context dependent.

I’m 53 and pretty edgy.

I don’t own anything but ripped jeans, which I get patched as they get older and older with various fabrics from an upmarket store.

Depending on what I’m doing I’ll have a plain white shirt, or a rugby shirt.

The only footwear I buy is Jeffrey west:

I’m on the limit for an older man, but at my age you have to be totally out there and own it if you still want to play. Most straight men at my age dress like a bag of crap.

Welcome to the boards
Also, what age is the limit for A&F and Aero?
Avoid those pieces where the logo is showing but otherwise, it's the same way you'd evaluate any other item of clothing:
  1. How is the fit and cut?
  2. How am I going to incorporate this into my wardrobe and image?
before you buy anything though, I encourage you to read ssfj https://sexystyleforjoe.com/ and girlschase's fashion articles (some of which are also written by Darius from ssfj).

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake

Got on here to mention sexystyleforjoe. Also look into his Wow! Factor course. If memory serves it's only a hundred bucks and it's damn good

A few good tips I've come across from pickup artists:

1. You don't have to wear what's currently in style. It just has to look cool.
2. Brad P. has a good ebook on style
3. What looks good on one person will not look good on another. So must field test.
4. Do not wear something in congruent with your lifestyle. For example if you are a business man by day do not dress like a biker on the weekends.
