I can of course guess why, but I thought I'd still ask. I used to be able to find plenty when I looked, but none recently.

A lot has but also the industry has died off because men don’t want to approach women anymore. Younger men see it as pointless.

The two biggest channels got out of the game...10 years ago?

Simple Pick Up, just picked up and left.
After the Julien CNN incident, RSD got spooked. They shut down their message boards, facebook groups ended...

A lot of other OG's didn't really last in the social media era.

And this is all ancient history, especially in internet time.

Now it's a handful of guys actually doing infield that I can think of
  • That one European guy with the long hair, I can't ever remember his name - typical Euro style - city center/town square, targeting young girls/college students, even if he's in his late 20's early 30's.
  • Tay Social (social robot)
  • Fluid Social (social robot)
  • Tusk (almost always bad from the main guy)
  • Playing with Fire (rarely)
  • Coach Kyle (rarely these days)
  • Todd Valentine (rarely, but his footage imo is the most professional and practical even if I don't like his style and philosophy)
  • Karisma King (old footage from I guess his RSD days)
  • Austen Summers (I think he does mostly reaction footage, but his on campus number grabs were painful to watch, even if they were effective)
  • Beckster and Mystery (once every 6 months)
  • David Bond - who's moved far away from Go Pro on his head to Red Pill/MAGA/The West is in Decline let's bag chicks in South America and South East Asia.
I'm sure there all fine seducers, but aside from the Euro guy, and it might be good content, it's not very good pick up content.

Good pick up content should
  • Well lit, Well Shot
  • Well mic'd
  • See body language
  • See faces
  • Explain the procedures
  • Explain the mentality/mindset
  • Explain the "odds" (which is a controversial and contentious part of pick up - cause pick up is not a numbers game)
  • Show mistakes
  • Show successes - realistic success
That said, a real life pick up in the day time doesn't look like much. So content creators try to get instant make outs at cafe's.
And you can get instant/fast make outs at the club - but that's almost always high energy clubs, drunk/high girls, and vibes.

Pick Up doesn't look good on camera. It only looks good on TV, in the movies, because of the medium.

The other big factor is that the content creators are doing anything but infield.
  • Influence/Prank content
  • Red Pill Content (and some of the guys doing RP were never Pick Up artists, just existed in the same online spaces - Rollo Tomassi for instance)
  • Passport Bros - and if they're in Asia, it's
  • Vague Online Pick Up Advice - dating sites and social media
...

As an aside, I've yet to find a channel that does infield footage of sales.
  • Those people selling stuff from Mall kiosks.
  • Car sales
  • Insurance sales
I don't like the sales/pick up analogy, but you'd think in this day and age, we'd see master salesmen pulling folks in and convincing them to buy.

Instead, it's a lot of speeches.

I can of course guess why, but I thought I'd still ask.

In this cancel culture environment, it made more sustainable business sense to transition to self-improvement and/or lifestyle advice.

A lot of these guys also got older so naturally their interests in just picking up girls changed

I’m surprised you’d say that.

I found Austen Summers infields to be excellent.
He does a good job of reminding that pick up doesn’t need to look flashy and that self-amusing is key.

I wonder if that’s because they don’t want to expose themselves to predatory lawyers.

Imagine if you had a recording of those hard closes for shared condos.
You could learn a lot but also someone would look at that and say the customers were manipulated.

Post bbc scandal , things have changed a lot .

Guys who used to put infield slowly stopped putting it altogether due to this.

In the WhatsApp groups , guys who post infield generally post the flashy ones which generally have no audio of the convo .

Lot of guys I knew have stopped pickup even before they could approach and shifted over to online game , Andrew tate ( or whatever the new trend arises ) . Note : I am talking about Daygame here . Cuz I don't have much info about folks who do nightgame .

Few of them who still do are able to find gold .

Right now PUA stuff has lost it's new big shiny thing appeal. You can easily find loads of advice, even in mainstream content like men's health, or anywhere. Also, the big thing right now is Andrew Tate style advice... get fit, get rich, lifestyle max. Also, Instagram and social media dating is huge.

When I started there was very little advice, and it felt exclusive. We also thought it was magic. Like, when I have this super power, I will get all the chicks I want." Now, we know it's hard work, and for often very little success. So most guys don't want to learn to approach, they want to learn what to text.

There will always be a market helping men get laid. I'm still in the biz. I can't fucking get out of it. But most of my peers have made their millions and moved on, or burnt out (many coaches), sold out (The art of Charm), gone born again (Roosh) or killed themselves (Tom Terrero).

RSD was the driving force of cutting edge frat boy self help pickup advice, and they're splintered and gone, really.

I've started making videos again, and blogging. But my strategy is to focus on the mainstream questions most guys are asking. There's not point marketing advanced daygame tactics to a tiny group of guys who won't spend a dime. If you want to teach this stuff for a living, it needs to be profitable. And the chances of getting cancelled are very, very high.

Great to know you're still fighting the good fight Zardoz.

I still remember reading your thoughtful and deeply personal 1000 Tiny Failures @Tony D. It was probably the best PUA book I ever read, up there with Style's The Game.

Shameless plug but I'm jamming out Youtube content. Also, GirlsChaseTV is active and they have a bunch of content. Not sure about infield stuff but it is video. This is my latest masterpiece. It actually has some advanced techniques for fast attraction building in party environment. Mostly around social proof, going direct, and vibe.

They be swipin’
That’s the thing…most girls in most places aren’t active there…so you start to hear mainstream voices complaining about how “men don’t approach us anymore”

Normally this would have predictable effects but market mechanisms are broken by technology and social changes too fast to keep up with…

Upshot is, DG is much more socially acceptable even if women are slightly more prudish than a generation ago

But almost no one is doing it outside the community (!!)

Cognitive dissonance intensifies

Well, it was still nice to know that there was a whole entire industry of advice in these matters I could utilize when needed, and I have, over the years, in interacting with women, though not in a systemic pickup manner.

So Tyler Durden left pickup? Him and his company seemed committed, even if they were jerks on many levels. I'm just sorry to hear it all tanked; pickup, for all its flaws and issues, is still better than Red Pill misogyny, because pickup is about self-improvement, not blaming women.

Can't emphasize that enough.

I am not entirely sure if it was bbc , but there was a news channel that did an exposé on a pua's bootcamp.
( Correct me if I am wrong )

And during that time rsd went out .

And few others yt channels were terminated .

I am referring to this thread .

Let me tell you this , internet is inherently negative place for the most part . Even back in 2016 . Maybe , not in 2000s decade .

Lot of people are there on internet , and peeps just want entertainment over actual stuff .

You can definitely find a lot of social experiments , pranks videos with 10x more views than pua infield even though infields are actually helpful .

And tbf there is lot we can discuss about why things are the way they are rn but it's better to just improve on ourselves or maybe we can create a new thread about the ' impacts of social media/ cancel culture on the pua industry and what should a beginner do about it '

There was a Polish PUA channel called Street Attraction which was daygame-focused, pretty good content. It was shut down by YouTube after being exposed by some BBC white knight. I think there was also some other channel also in that report that I don't remember.

Happened a few years after the RSD Julien fiasco.

These two were the big ones that were very public. After the BBC scandal, a lot of PUA channels started getting canceled, and if not, the YouTube algorithm screwed them so that they didn't get much views.

Cold approach has died off but not the pick up industry - it has just moved to dating apps.
Younger men see cold approach as pointless by and large because in their mind it is easier to swipe online and thereby avoid any painful rejection.

Noitard - Not sure where you got the idea it is off Reddit and YouTube. The big names have gone from the later but lots of content is still there and the r/seduction site for Reddit is still going.
