Tattoos - How do they affect your social frame?

Is that Gun's mugshot? It was probably a rough night. There are only a few pics of him out there, and I always got the impression he was just showing himself to the average guys like "you don't have to look like Brad Pitt". I definitely remember him talking about dressing well and grooming.

Anyways, I view tattoos as a great peacocking example. It's a social handicap that can disqualify you from jobs. If you can survive despite it, that seems like a fitness indicator. But of course it affects the social aspect. I know a girl who still hides her tattoo from her father. She may really enjoy fucking guys with tattoos, but I don't think she would bring someone with a neck tattoo home to meet her parents if she's hiding her own tame tattoo on her side torso.

If you're not worried about jobs and other wider social implications, but only in a one-on-one first lay context, then I'm not sure. But maybe it could impact attitude similarity. I don't really understand people's motivations for getting them. I know some girls are super into them on guys, but anecdotally these have always been the more rebellious and impulsive girls with colorful pasts.
I agree. I just can't see myself walking into a tattoo shop and saying " I want a tattoo of a lion on my head!". They seem counter productive to me. But yes I tell guys to be well trimmed as in trim up your ear, nose, and eyebrow hair. Reason being is women notice the smaller details more. It looks better if your well kept. Same thing uf your dressed good.

Tattoos definitely give you a rebellious bad boy edge. However, nowadays they are so ubiquitous (at least where I live) that I feel almost tame with my one tattoo. Here on the beach I see dozens of people with shitloads of ink every day. Seems to be more common among the locals than among the tourists though (tourists usually being recognizable by their whiter skin). For the tourists it's maybe 50/50 lots of tats vs. little or no tats.

Incidentally, yesterday I met a girl who proudly told me she had 3. I got her to show them to me, and she happily explained to me in detail the meaning of each one. Then she asked me if I had any, and when I showed her mine she was like "only 1? you need to get more" lol... I remembered this thread and told her I'd been considering getting more, but wouldn't do it unless I come up with an idea that I absolutely love.

Side note, tattoos (on girls) are a great reason to amply touch her wherever she got them.

Yeah I think its more original to not have any than to have them. A trend with them I've seen is when someone gets one they tend to get more and more. It's like an addiction.

In my opinion someone that has tattoos is of a different mentality than someone that doesn't have any. I just can't take them as seriously vs someone not having any.

I don’t really think that this is the best way to go about it though. I mean you are literally in her frame that having more tattoos is better and trying to explain why you don’t have more and that you may do it at some point.

I know you were being honest, it simply felt a bit off to me seduction wise here.

I see how it might sound that way, but I don't think it hurt me seduction wise. When she told me "you need more" I had to laugh because she literally told me what I'd just recently been considering myself. So I told her that. But I also told her what I say to every girl (or guy) who asks me about my tattoo: Which is that I got it because I thought it was awesome at the time, and that I still love it and I never felt the need to get more so far. But I might be open for it if I had some super cool inspiration some day.

So if you want to look at it in terms of frames, I think my frame was quite solid. As for the girl, I'll write more about her in my journal but so far it seems to be a solid number close.

Whether you have tattoos or not, I'd say what's most important is that you're cool with your decision and that it matches your personality. If you're into girls with tats, then it probably helps if you have some yourself.

For me personally, most of my exes and girls I've been with had no tats at all, except one who had a single tattoo. I didn't even care until just recently. Maybe it's because the patchwork tattoo style, which is the one I like, wasn't really a thing before.

Also, I find it interesting that so far no one else has posted who has tattoos. Are most people on this forum tattoo-less? If that's so, I might be tempted to draw some conclusions from that fact...

Are you in Brazil? I noticed that tattoos are so common there in some places, especially among the young generation, that you're almost an outlier if you don't have tattoos lol

No, I'm in southern Europe, but it's pretty similar here. I even see grandmas with tattoos here almost on a daily basis. And I'm not talking little small tattoos, more like full sleeve / all back, stuff like that...

I know a girl like this too. While initially she would never think in her mind it would ever get too far with this guy who she only thinks will last a couple weeks or months to even think about the possibility of introducing him to her very traditional parents. A funny thing happens when a girl falls in love with you. Everything goes out the window. And she no longer fears her parents disapproval. Despite being a very approval seeking girl in the first place.

Good thing nobody here is trying to fuck rancorous

I personally don’t like girls with a lot of tattoos. 1 or 2 is fine. In fact all the girls whose photos I’ve shared on this forum did not have tattoos except one (tiny tattoo on her arm).
Also, I find it interesting that so far no one else has posted who has tattoos. Are most people on this forum tattoo-less?
Yeah it seems I’m the only one who is covered in the current style of tattoos. The others who have posted without any tattoos are keyboard jockeying about what they think it would be like if they did get tattoos or what the guys who do have tattoos get in terms of girls. Which is why I said to ignore them.

The older outdated tattoo style. Which will give you zero points with 18-20 year old girls if that’s the demo you’re targeting. For me I’m really the only one I see covered in tattoos when I go out (I of course see guys in tattoos when I’m walking to say the grocery store. But those are older guys covered in tacky tattoos who don’t go to gen z bars). But that’s because I’m competing with other guys who are get their first real job. And think tattoos would disqualify them from the next guy. Or they are just broke college student who can’t afford a bunch of tattoos.

Okay I have to revise that. Today I had a closer look and it's definitely way less than 50% with lots of tats. I think it just appeared that way to me because people with lots of tats naturally stand out more. Which is a form of peacocking so it probably helps with seduction.

Some women love them, some women don't care for them. I don't think it really matters in the big scheme of things. It can make you look more alpha. I've noticed a significant amount of women have tattoos here vs a place like England where most of the women have none. So if you're in a place like the UK your gonna stand out more. Is that a good thing? I don't know. Because I don't know what womens attitudes towards tattoos are there.
