Talk to me.

skills to build, where to look towards next, maybe why I should reconsider (kinda a done deal now though)

Any tips on preparing for my move to Vegas in 12 months? Think I might have to learn to live out of my car tbh

So first of all, can you explain:
-Why you've decided to drop out
-Why you've decided to move to Vegas (I can guess but have you ever been there on the ground? I have)
-Why you've decided that 12 months (an eternity) from now you're going to do it
-Why you think it's a good idea to move to Vegas and live out of your car

Apologies in advance if I'm being thickheaded or offensive, I'm a wreck and so zombified I've stopped caring about sex bc all the body wants to do is eat -> relax -> sleep

no prob homie.
-Why you've decided to drop out
didn't work out. Time to start over. Try something else.

i'm young, no kids, no legacy/idea to uphold. Why not?
-Why you've decided to move to Vegas (I can guess but have you ever been there on the ground? I have)
a. new place to start and ticks the boxes for some of the things I'm looking for.

b. yeah, on a family trip. probably will venture out there solo again first, but if not I'll just have to grab bunch of intel.
-Why you've decided that 12 months (an eternity) from now you're going to do it
-Why you think it's a good idea to move to Vegas and live out of your car
the goal is to not live in my car and maybe start off in a ghetto. Cause broke and new city y'know. I hope over next summer to apartment hunt aggressively maybe even get a roommate.

but I'm not going to wait any longer than a year. There's also less time than you think before next november

within that year I can put into practice living in my car in my home state where the stakes are lower if it all falls apart. Stack some money, clear my head, plan more concretely (I already have some experience job hunting, apartment searching, living on my own, and dabbled in driving across stateliness sleeping in my car.)

vegas is a place where the world comes to you. I work entertainment, practice PUA, and am broke. Would prefer to do those all somewhere where it makes sense.

plus Vegas is cooler November - February I hear. Not masochistic enough to try and take on the summer without a serious apartment search.

capisce?

@trashcan,

Well, if you're giving yourself a year to prepare, here's how to use that year:

  1. Start working at bars immediately. Doorman, barback, whatever job you can get
  2. Learn to bartend. Get good at it -- as good at it as you can. Learn flair while you're at it
  3. Talk to everyone you can about Vegas and your dream to move/work there and look for people with connections
  4. Amass your collection of people who've offered to put you in touch with folks they know in the nightlife / other industries there
  5. When you go there, work your connections, look for a job at small / non-super-popular bars first, just to get your feet in the door
  6. Graduate to a really big bar / club once you've got your experience up at a smaller local bar or two or three

& don't end up a homeless sewer-dwelling meth-head like this chick:

The way you use the next year is going to be very important: do you build up your skills, contacts, and résumé to maximize your odds of success when you get there? If you do, you stand a much better chance of making it.

someone has brought up landscaping or trade based work.

Also someone pointed me towards what I’m looking at…probably from a lifestyle and job market standpoint. Daily paid jobs or paid by 2 weeks, does need some networking

This jobs are super lowkey but paid highly. They seldom appear on job ads because they prefer trusted part timers

wassup Chase

I’ve been reading about your van pulling mentor woodhaven/vin di carlo
& don't end up a homeless sewer-dwelling meth-head like this chick

RIP Jenni Lee. I’m sure the red pill would have a field day…😒

My aim is more towards what skills put me on all those years back on his blog

I will acknowledge that for the 1 him I have a reference and video of hundreds of Jenni Lee.

Seems to be the path of least resistance when your circumstances line up like that.

I believe victim mentality is chief among whether or not I am more Joe or Jenni.
Learn flair while you're at it
What are we talking exactly?

Charisma, party tricks, my fashion?

Am I going to be wearing a fur hat…I’m down haha

Okay, so you're actually aiming to be living out of a van? I thought that was, like, a backup plan.

We had another guy on the forum years and years ago who was living out of his station wagon and picking up a couple girls a month out of dive bars. I can't for the life of me remember his handle now... he was a Rank 3 guy though IIRC. I met up with him when I passed through Denver. Cool guy. Eventually he got tired of getting chased out of Wal-Mart parking lots in the middle of the night by cops though so started wanting to get his act together and get an apartment somewhere. He was also having trouble hanging onto girls beyond the 3-month mark and that had started bugging him too.

I believe victim mentality is chief among whether or not I am more Joe or Jenni.

Yeah. That and drugs.

If you get hooked, a lot of the times that's it.

Easier to do / more tempting when not a lot is going right in life, and that is more likely to be the case when you're financially in bad shape.

What are we talking exactly?

Charisma, party tricks, my fashion?

Am I going to be wearing a fur hat…I’m down haha

Jesus Christ! this is the worst neg i ever gotten in my life.... Good job! I am totally depress now... Do you know the context was there were a bunch of copers and kjs, and redpillers, talking none sense, specially in this forum.... that was the context of the post, it was not a goal oriented type post, you should be a total scumbag was not the aim but the explanation against kjs, get it....

(TL;DR Skills did not promote being a "scumbag" in that post or his blog. I can vouch for this and tell you in none of his writing have I seen explicit promotion for or against this. Rather open minded, informational, and telling kjs how it is. Also I correct my usage of "aim" in response to Chase. More of a contingency to be in my car than an aim...atleast at this point.)

Haha I promise no disrespect. (sidnote but I've been having more success with my soft closes, banter, and "mornin" ping. thanks for the texting guides)

to prevent thread derailment let me explain

For context it was a response to
& don't end up a homeless sewer-dwelling meth-head like this chick:
I improperly wrote it. I used "aim". o when I used "aim" I was saying I'd be looking more towards being the "Joe" variety or nomadic than the Jenni variety of strung out and homeless. If push came to shove.

I understood all the post and its context but since I'm not red pill, kj, and wasn't even active crazily when I read that it means something else to me. Your intent is interesting and commendable (I love pua history or hearing my favorite gamers stories) but not where I got value.

Let me clarify this before going on
Okay, so you're actually aiming to be living out of a van? I thought that was, like, a backup plan.

It is the contingency plan. But I don't find it unlikely to occur and I also live a rather nomadic game life as is when it comes to game where my logistics are my car, her place, hotel, unconventional. Nothing conventional or ideal.

That's why I did took inspiration from your post Skills to stop making excuses and still go out there and game towards a pull not a number.

you should be a total scumbag was not the aim but the explanation against kjs, get it....

Restates I understood and read the entire thing,

Think of your article as a hammer. It's clearly a hammer I see what it is...know what it is for, but when it's in my hands I can use it for whatever I want...like a bottle opener, to prop the door, lean my phone on etc

in that light your article reads as a "how to get laid as a total scumbag" as well and has been more useful to me as that. Why I love your writing as it isn't always narrow and can be used for utility in other places.

I have pulled 2 times to afterparties that weren't mine, my car atleast 5 times, her place 3 times maybe using that and other things I've read as Inso and how to's regardless of the intent and context.

May be retarded or a neg to you but utility just means more to me atm.

I can tell you its utility has been immeasurable in improving my game despite the odds I have faced and with it the odds that might be in front of me don't seem so insurmountable.

Is it not the work of secret society/seducers to navigate the world getting past obstacles and moving under the surface of what people deem acceptable or even possible? ;)

The thread is back on its rails now. Reality is I'm still doing this 1 year timeframe.

Don't really plan to write anymore about what sparked the decision or my philosophy as that is neither here nor there atm.

Utility>Intent/Context

This thread is most useful to those like me who aren't actually tied to where they are besides their comfy checks, lifestyle, career...but know there is so much more to life than comfort, quiet desperation, and the limits we place on our reality and capabilities.

Also those who have packed up and left with little insofar as a plan...

Yes I'm going to Vegas but if you're tired now and nothing in your life is refilling that cup...worse if you remember as I do feeling this exact way last year...or even a few decades

What's different next year? You willing to be a scumbag?

I'm going further west but maybe you are going east towards the shores north to the chillier glaciers south towards the equator...idk

Where will you go next year?

Any further ontopic comments, PMs, DMs are appreciated. Utility utility utility

I hear Vegas is a bit frustrating for game cause most girls only go for the weekend so it's SNL or bust... and no repeats even if you score. I've never been so I'm not sure how true that is but I thought I'd mention it cause one PUA moved there and then realized this dynamic and left again.

This is beautiful to me.

I’m definitely in a more lays>relationship part of my life, but I am interested in developing text game and relationship shiz eventually.

With that said I’ll tell you there is a world outside the strips, casinos and nightlife. Vegas is a 24 hour city.

There is a sizable workforce, hiking community, suburbanite community in vegas as well. LA is also a 4 hour drive away. Hell I could also just LTR or OLTR a girl in my industry for the path of least resistance y’know…

It is not all doom and gloom for those looking for something real and stable but the midwest is definitely underrated for dudes looking into LTR …or even want to clean up easily ONS.

If I stayed in the midwest I’m the only dude practicing this stuff seriously in my area code, but it’d become a crutch. I’ll run a stack and a chick looks like no one has ever spoken to her even across state lines around here haha

If I work vegas correctly the world is my oyster. Especially with this bartending, nightlife, REALLY tough scene to crack and harder scene to avoid using crutch avenues in once you get some success.

Hope your doing well man!

Any tips on preparing for my move to Vegas in 12 months? Think I might have to learn to live out of my car tbh

If you want to make a lot of money relatively quickly... take an acting class and network.

Most decent acting classes... have close ties with casting directors and agents. If you impress the room with your personal magnetism... or even manage to seduce a woman with the kinds of connections you desire. Then you could find yourself with quite a lot of "acting money" soon for very little screen time.

However if you really want to get good at the craft. You'll need to try theatre out also... there's something about having only "1 take" in front of bright lights and discerning eyes that works wonders for your ability to deal with chaos. There are many other pragmatic reasons why several actors bartend.

Greetings to all of you!

My first shift at my cash cow job is underway.

Holiday pay boutta be stupid 🤑

I intend to update this thread as things develop further.

But I appreciate everyone’s support and tips/leads.

Contrary to popular belief, leaving college immediately with no plan but seduction/influence is not all unicorn farts and sprinkles.

So the support in DM’s, posts here, and chatroom shiz have all allowed me to create greater clarity within myself and get closer to that…err sprinkle farting unicorn.

Merry Christmas Playas

100k all mine?

have an actual short update coming for my contributors but preemptively wanna say thank you to all and that none of your words have been lost

in short things are going well...very well actually

in two years if I kept doing what I'm doing I'd have 100k all mine after tax

what would you do in my position? Does whatever you desire sound silly in the face of 100k dead stock

this is 100k you KNOW you'd have decently easy too

what's the move man

Isn't that almost enough to buy a house outright in whichever corner of the Midwest you live in?

No idea, probably "save" in something that doesn't lose me money and doesn't need attention (so no risky investments) while I figure it out... Help my family or friends if they really need it, otherwise I have no idea. I really like music so I think I would just waste money away living off it while doing music for the sake of it, so I'm probably not the best person for you to ask that lol

Good stuff, man!

I agree with Surveyor on using it towards a home.

Some other ideas to explore:

I tripped myself up a ton by not sticking to college. I had out-of-state tuition issues which led to me leaving after freshman year, then said f the system I'll do my own thing. The issue? I had nothing of value to offer and no real ideas/skills. Queue 5 years of meandering, getting an okay Biotech job that I got fired from because I'm an energetic, loud person and lab requires a quite, careful person. Finally could go back at 24 when FAFSA stopped looking at my parents' income (I was living on my own for years by that time, but 24 is the magic age).

Sitting at 28 with a decent skill set but no relevant job experience. Trying to start my own business WITH REAL SKILLS I got through school that I can leverage my pedigree towards. The whole idea of pulling something out of your ass is as dumb as it sounds. When you're a young kid that has done nothing and has nothing to offer, you're hoping for a genie to let you make it in life. Take the safe path to start, build a good foundation, then you can try for crazy things in your 30's when you have a solid base (finances, wisdom, network) to work with.

This goes doubly for an AI-enabled world where high-skilled jobs will automate away less skilled secondary roles (and some not-so-unskilled). The gap will probably grow larger between those with useful skills leveraged in a smart way and everyone else. Learning a trade is probably the safest bet at this time until education adapts to teaching students to leverage AI. I'd like to think trades are the safest thing, but we'll see how rapidly (or not) AI bots develop when they ALL learn EVERYTHING from each other like a hive mind.

Learn sales and become a remote closer. The skills will help you in seduction too.

Seriously, if you go this route and you decide Vegas isn’t for you then no big deal, move anywhere you like and you still have a job. All you need is a phone, a laptop, and internet which you can get in a van.

Learn sales, find people selling a service that cost a lot of money, contact them and offer to sell for a decent commission. Coaches, consultants, agency owners, copywriters, web designers, etc. Hell, I hire sometimes too.

Decent sales skill can net you six figures a year doing this.
