Not sure what that proves - I don't think this guy has a whole lot of charisma, his face is pretty deadpan, but I can still imagine him doing ok if he had some game and learned how to smile.

For an ugly guy with charisma, I'd be thinking someone like Hugh Laurie, or Jack Harlow.

Which was originally one of the first reasons why I focused so much on looks. Because I’d see these really attractive girls that would be with guys that I knew I had better game then (back when I was so obsessed with game), but had no point of entry access to them. The workaround was to focus on becoming so attractive you become the exception.

How do you know that a guy like Benny Blanco couldn't, if he wanted to, get to a point where he was charismatic enough, and skilled enough, to be able to open virtually any girl he wanted?

Just because someone is rich and famous, or an actor or musician, or even a model, does not mean they have any real understanding of male-female dynamics and how to seduce a woman. So it's not surprising that many of them lean hard on status and money and social circles to get action, rather than game, because it is not their strong suit.

I mean, the typical hollywood actor these days seems to be a good looking guy with a 'nice guy' personality who toes the politically correct line and puts women on a pedestal, with zero sexual charisma, and no real shades or undercurrent to his personality. He is basically a well marketed mannequin. I'm sure his status helps him to get laid, but if he didn't have that status he'd just be some average middle class dude who girls wouldn't even notice existed. Because he has no real understanding of how to express himself in a way that they actually found captivating or arousing.

Yes his status helps him gain an entry point, his looks otherwise wouldn’t if he’s an ugly guy. If he has charisma, then he’ll get laid a lot. But if he didn’t have that status, he’d just be an ugly guy with charisma.

Yeah I was just talking about how that was one of my first motivations for improving my looks. I’d see girls (inside and outside clubs) hanging out with guys who I thought were chodes without game. While in reality I was the chode, because despite all that I knew about game and applying it, he was banging her. While I was left to get the scraps they didn’t want. So I knew something had to change.

Thank you, btw, for the idea: I'm thinking about opening up a thread in the Members Forum about amending the "New? Start here!" thread by including "Relevant History of The Boards" (or the like) for new members. Every established social circle (like the SS Boards) has a certain dynamic and vibe which can be aggravated/irritated if a new member, unknowingly, reopens old wounds.

Not to say that I think that this is what is happening with this thread! Just ... it might prevent the generally phantastic vibe of this forum to sour.

Recently, I've dealt quite a bit with all kinds of different cats. Cats as in felines, pussycats. I see a big similarity between cats, women, children and some adult men. (Of course, most of YOU guys have been aware of it for ages, but I'm slow.)

A while back I wrote a thread about not feeding trolls. It's really hard not to feed trolls when they're smart! I have, embarrassingly often, meant to engage trolls on the internet, and only managed to delete my post just before hitting SEND.
They're really good at engaging what I call "good-faith people". There is something about them. It reminds me of the news ("mainstream" or "alternative"). They always manage to stir our emotions.
